The Strategy and Projects (S&P) team works with partners across all departments in Grab to lead continuous improvements and lead special projects which would contribute to overall growth of the business. - We are looking for a hands-on and versatile Automation Specialist to join our team and work across both web development and automation tasks.
- This role is ideal for you if you enjoy building fast and working with modern tools.
- You will report into the Strategy and Projects, Manager and be based in Petaling Jaya, working onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will build full stack web applications using Python, ASP.NET and ReactJS
- You will develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and workflows
- You will integrate APIs, Databases, and third-party services
- You will explore the possibilities of AI application
- You will maintain the documentations for the developments done by you
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- You have a minimum 3 years experience in Full Stack development and Software Engineering.
- You have proficiency in backend (C#, Python, NodeJS) and frontend (ASP.NET, React) languages
- You have ASP.NET, C#, Python, and ReactJS
- You have Selenium or Playwright
- You have experience with REST APIs
- You have understanding of RDBMS and SQL and database operations
- You have understanding of version control systems like Azure DevOps/ GitLab
Good to have skills
- You have experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- You have familiarity with AI, ML and OCR tools
- You have experience with version control systems like GitHub / GitLab/ Azure DevOps and developing Git branching approaches
- You have experience with SignalR, SocketIO

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Finance Process Automation Specialist to identify, design, and implement automation solutions accross our finance, accounting and investment operations processes. The ideal candidate has knowldege and experience in core system implementation and enhancement in finance modules, strong understanding of finance workflows and proficiency in business productivity tools such as Excel Macros (VBA), Power Query, Power BI and keen interest or experience in applying Generative AI, and potentially more advanced platforms such as Python, or low-code/no-code platforms to streamline tasks, improve accuracy and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support core and non-core system implementation, change or enhancement including drafting of user requirement, support user acceptance testing for finance modules and perform parallel runs to compare outputs from legacy and new systems
- Work with finance and accounts teams to identify repetitive and manual processes suitable for automation.
- Design and implement automation workflows using tools like Power Query, Power Automate, Excel VBA Macros and Generative AI.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data transformation pipelines to support real-time insights.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Platform Subject Matter Expert with a strong background in Microsoft Power Platform. This includes Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Generative AI technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage Power platform and RPA projects to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency. Automate processes and create user-friendly apps using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline user requests.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Hand-on experience with business process mining tools (e.g. Power Automate process mining, Celonis, etc) to identify most urgent processes that requires automation.
- Integrate Generative AI and Process automation technologies into existing and new solutions to carry out Gen AI powered business process automation to reduce cost, improve productivity, enhance functionality and user experience.
- Manage the end-to-end development and deployment process of Power Platform solutions in conjunction with Azure AI services.
- Experience with monitoring Power solutions to ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of security and Infrastructure best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions and deliver high-quality results.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
REQUIREMENT
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven expertise as a Power Platform SME or similar role, with experience in managing Power Platform projects, establishing governance, and setting up Power Platform, Power Automate, and Generative AI Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in previous client engagements.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of Generative AI and AI technologies, with a preference for Azure AI.
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud, cybersecurity, Scrum and Agile methodologies, business, and process analysis.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Certifications in Power Platform, RPA, and Azure AI, such as PL600, AI 102, and UiPath, are considered advantageous. Additional certifications are highly valued.
- Previous experience in a consulting firm is a plus.

Job Description
- Responsible for collecting, evaluating and preparing research and/or other complex or significant and unique statistical data for a specific business need.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for business process automation using Sharepoint and Automation Anywhere (RPA) as main tools.
- Lead end-to-end Sharepoint and RPA projects, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance after.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint sites, workflows and applications, with strong user experience mindset during the process.
- Manage the deployment and configuration of Automation Anywhere bots to automate repetitive tasks and workflows.
- Optimize both Sharepoint and Automation Anywhere utilization to ensure all forms, applications and workflows are robust, scalable and reliable with seamless performance.
- Conduct detailed process analysis, collaborate with process owners to understand their requirements in order to redesign, enhance or create workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Act as liaison between IT, business stakeholders and BPA teams to align requirements, objectives and expectations.
- Manage and lead both Sharepoint and RPA team. Strategically prioritize their workload, periodically listen and talk to them to ensure their mental health and personal welfare are well taken care of.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Robotic Automations.
- Minimum 5-6 years of working experiences in business process automation related field.
- At least 4-5 years of working experience in Sharepoint development, using Nintex would be a big plus.
- Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation, preferably Automation Anywhere.
- Sound working experience of workflows and process automation, preferably in Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, data processing, SSRS reporting and basic server management.
