Our client, a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, is looking for Consultants to be part of their project. The Technology and Operations function comprises five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems, as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has over 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. The selected resource will work in a newly established technology centre in Kuala Lumpur, part of the Technology and Operations division, delivering innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with product managers, designing and implementing product features to support bank systems.
• Write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code using engineering best practices.
• Use front-end technology to meet business needs and provide a high-quality user experience.

Skills

Must have

• 3-5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
• Relevant experience in Frontend Development.
• Familiarity with commonly used languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Familiarity with Web Application Security.
• Knowledge of HTTP/TCP protocols.
• Strong JavaScript skills, preferably ES6 and onwards.
• Strong TypeScript skills.
• Experience with React.js or similar web application frameworks and web-based application development.

Nice to have

Related domain experience in FinTech is strongly preferred.

Job description :

• Architect and implement web & mobile application user interfaces. Develop front end (React Native / JS) and have experience in micro service framework such as Spring Boot.
• Scale and maintain web properties and application. Focus on performance and code efficiency

Functional Skills :

Technical Skills :

• Working experience of Git version control.
• Familiar with OWASP guideline and controls in implementing or securing the front end.
• Experienced and have a solid understanding of REST API and best practices of securing REST API.
• Have a knowledge on linux/ unix OS and webservers such as Apache / Nginx.
• Hold Computer Science or relevant IT degree.
