Experienced Application Engineer
to join our regional team based in
Selangor, Malaysia. This Opportunity in A Nutshell: The incumbent will focus on providing technical support to grow the water treatment business within industrial customers across Malaysia. This person will identify key gaps and improvement opportunities to expand our water treatment portfolio, using a systematic approach involving appropriate product selection, cost-in-use analysis, and clear value delivery to customers. This role also includes setting protocols for trials, conducting customer audits, leading key pilot programs, and securing product or solution approvals. As a subject matter expert in water treatment, the incumbent is expected to train and support the local sales team in water and wastewater treatment programs. Some of the Things You’ll Do : Identify customer needs and translate them into opportunities across customer segments
Design and implement programs with proper product selection, cost-in-use evaluation, capital investment requirements, and expected customer benefits
Lead execution of key value propositions, offerings, and innovations
Conduct field trials, secure approvals, and replicate successful programs across similar accounts and sectors
Train and provide ongoing technical support to the local sales teams
Monitor, assess, and enhance service delivery models
Collaborate with the Malaysian business team and broader Southeast Asia stakeholders to achieve water treatment growth targets
What You’ll Bring to Us
: Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in water treatment, with a strong focus on chemical-based treatment solutions.
Technical background required (bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or a Science-related field)
Strong problem-solving mindset with a good grasp of technical concepts
Experience with industrial customers and applications in utility water and wastewater treatment
Background in the light manufacturing sector is preferred but not mandatory
This role requires extensive travel within Malaysia as per business needs.

This job is for a Project Manager in East Malaysia, focusing on water/wastewater treatment projects. You might like this job because it involves leading large-scale engineering projects and requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead projects across East Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar capacity. Expertise in water and wastewater projects is highly preferred. This role requires exceptional leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills to oversee all aspects of project execution and ensure alignment with company goals in terms of cost, time, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects to achieve company and project goals (cost, time, quality).
- Plan, direct, and manage activities related to project planning, design, procurement, construction, and other related work, including project planning/programming, communication, construction management (including subcontractors), procurement (including vendors), testing, and commissioning.
- Establish, develop, and manage project teams.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the project team.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Manage consultants engaged by the company for projects.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, authorities, stakeholders, and internal departments.
- Manage site office administration and logistics.
- Coordinate with head office on project matters.
- Participate in tendering activities for new projects as needed.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a diploma or degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical), Project/Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Experience with water and/or wastewater projects is an advantage.
- Ability to handle challenging situations and a proven track record with major government projects.
- Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills.
- Candidates with less qualification or experience may be considered for a less senior role.
