Operation Warehouse Material Handler

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for handling, storing, and moving materials, products, and supplies within the warehouse facility. This includes receiving goods, verifying inventory, preparing products for shipment, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain safety standards, and ensure the accuracy of inventory.

• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Inspect items for damages and report discrepancies to management.
• Update inventory records for newly received goods.

• Store products and materials in designated areas according to their type, size, and shelf life.
• Ensure materials are organized and accessible for easy retrieval.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space, ensuring all areas are free from hazards.
• Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials onto trucks and organize shipments for delivery.
• Move materials to designated locations within the warehouse for proper storage and distribution.

• Maintain accurate records of material movements in and out of the warehouse.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Report inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to the supervisor.

• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment based on customer orders.
• Ensure items are packaged securely to prevent damage during transport.
• Assist with the preparation of shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and labels.

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all materials and equipment are stored safely and comply with OSHA or other relevant safety regulations.
• Participate in safety training and report any safety hazards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehouse or material handling roles is preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., Reach Truck, pallet jacks; forklift license is a plus).
• Preferred with Port Klang FTZ Warehouse operation and PKFZ Custom related experience.
• E-commerce Operation experience is a plus.

Ensuring all goods and materials received into the company are processed on a daily/timely manner, from receipt at goods inwards through to stores, out into production, from production to the finished goods stores and then into dispatch.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all goods/materials/packages, which are delivered into the company, are unloaded correctly and in line with company procedures and practices.
• To ensure that goods received are correct to delivery notes, checking deliveries upon receipt and signing for the correct number of parcels being delivered.
• To interpret supplier advice notes, certificates of conformity and to verify the advised quantity of goods before goods receiving.
• Helping internal customers with their queries and when they come to collect their parcels.
• To ensure that all goods once receipted are handled correctly labelled before they go onto production lines.
• Ensure that all documentation is filed correctly daily.
• Keep the goods in area clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist with material management and dispatch functions when required.
• Support the transportation of goods around the company when required.
• Ensuring that comply with Health and Safety rules at all times.
• Other duties as required.

Education:

• Diploma / High school “O” level or equivalent

Experience:

• Have experience in working in a stores/goods inwards environment

Knowledge/Skills:

• Have a competent understanding of computer software packages, i.e. Windows, Database.
• Counterbalance Forklift license (current).
• Willing to learn companies database system (SAP)
• Flexible attitude to work methods and practices.
• Be able to work overtime when required.
• Able to work on own initiative.
• Does involve heavy lifting.
• Have legible handwriting.
• Must have a methodical and practical approach to work.
• Must be a team player.

• Assist in planning and optimizing delivery routes and schedules for maximum efficiency.

• Majority of the work will involve driving, warehouse tasks, and logistics coordination.
• Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Experience :

• At least 1 year of experience in driving and logistics or warehouse management.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems or basic inventory software is an advantage.

Licenses :

• Possess a valid Malaysian Goods Driving License (GDL) and a clean driving record.

Skills :

• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy goods safely.

Personality :

• Responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

• To drive lorry which transports the non-halal products to required locations.
• Tasks include
  • (a) driving a lorry which transport goods over short or long distances;
  • (b) determining the most appropriate routes;
  • (c) ensuring that goods are stored and securely covered to prevent loss and damage;
  • (d) assisting with or carrying out loading or unloading operations;
  • (e) carrying out minor maintenance to vehicles, and arranging major maintenance and repairs;
  • (f) estimating weights to comply with load limitations, and ensuring the safe distribution of weights.
