- Reviewing the health travel ecosystem and developing strategies to optimize customer satisfaction, working closely with stakeholders.
- Serving as a communication platform for MHTC divisions and healthcare stakeholders.
- Developing and enhancing the MHTC membership program, including managing technical and evaluation committees.
- Building strong relationships within the medical tourism value chain, including bilateral and multilateral partnerships.

Primarily assist the Head of Legal in all matters related to department’s function including, among others, legal advisory and drafting, dispute resolution management, team management, operational and administrative tasks.
Job Description
- Rendering legal advice and support to the other departments and units including, among others, providing in-house legal opinion or advice on legal issues that arise in the day-to-day operations;
- Review or draft legal documents including, among others, investment related documents, operational contracts and day-to-day documents requiring legal input;
- Participate in negotiations in relation to any legal contract relevant to the company, as may be required;
- Conduct legal research to keep abreast with new developments applicable to the company;
- Assist in developing regulations, policies and/or guidelines;
- Manage external legal counsels pertaining to issues involving the company including, among others, procuring external counsels to represent the company for litigation purposes;
- Take part in any projects undertaken by the company, as may be required;
- Assist to plan, oversee and prepare regular reporting on the department’s operations/activities, as may be required; and
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
• Admitted to the Malaysian Bar or licensed to practice in a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
• A minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant legal working experience (including corporate, commercial legal work), with experience in the venture capital ecosystem and/or investment banking.
• Fluent Malay and English written and oral skills.
• Preferred working experience in the following area:
- Fund-of-Fund (FOF) investment; and
- A mix of private practice and in-house counsel.
• Meticulous, able to operate independently while remaining a team-player.
• Positive outlook and attitude.

Job Purpose
Establish and maintain governance and oversight on the effectiveness of technology risk management for Affin Group. This function will be responsible for maintaining a strong technology risk management culture, formulating/reviewing the technology risk appetite, tolerances and threshold that aligns to the banking group’s risk appetite, and for establishing/maintaining a program to identify, assess, measure, monitor, control and report on significant technology risks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute third-party cyber risk assessments, cloud risk assessment, project risk assessment and due diligence activities.
- Maintain and update the third-party risk inventory, project risk inventory and ensure accurate documentation.
- Review and assess vendor security documentation, including SOC reports, ISO certifications, penetration test reports, and security questionnaires.
- Monitor ongoing vendor risk through periodic reviews, assessments, and threat intelligence.
- Track and report risk remediation plans for third-party gaps and exceptions.
- Identify, prepare and review technology and cyber risk metrics pertaining to third-party and project risk.
- Perform risk analytics on data from internal and external sources to form leading and lagging risk indicators that identify emerging third-party risks before they surface.
- Support the development and maintenance of third-party risk management (TPRM), Project Risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the design and delivery of training and awareness programs related to third-party cyber, project risk and technology risk.
- Stay current with emerging risks, threats, and regulatory changes impacting third-party cyber risk and project risk.
- Provide advisory, guidance, and recommendation on aspects related to technology risks, particularly in information security and controls, and ensure compliance with the internal IT policies & procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct an independent assessment review to identify, assess, and evaluate project management issues and best practices, as well as strategies to reduce, mitigate, or transfer IT and cyber risks for identified project risks.
- Support senior management, including the CISO and GCRO, in overseeing the effective implementation of technology risk management at the entity level.+
- Degree in IT, IS or Computing and/or other relevant domains.
- Minimum of 5 years in IT risk management, cyber risk management, project risk management, third-party risk management.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CEH, CRISC, and CISSP are added advantages.
- Possess good knowledge and experience of information security and information technology risk management, solid experience in undertaking technical security assessments of technology-related solutions.
- Familiar with Bank Negara Malaysia regulatory requirements related to Technology Risk.
- Strong analytical, influencing and problem resolution skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Minimum 5 year of relevant working experience, preferably in audit and/or banking industry or professional audit firms.
- Strong PC skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Access, Power Point).
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure with good accuracy.
- A good team player who is meticulous, detail oriented and pro-active.

Responsibilities
Develop and establish policies, strategies and improvement plans to mitigate compliance risk issues and the effective management of compliance activities to meet regulations, directives and laws from external regulators in Malaysia, Japan and any other countries that impact on the business and operations of MUFG Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and MUFG Bank (Labuan Branch) (“the Banks”) from the perspectives of safety, accuracy and efficiency.
Review and conduct gap analysis for any local regulations issued by Bank Negara Malaysia or Labuan Financial Services Authority such as Policy Documents (PD), Exposure Drafts (ED) or from other equivalent regulations from other authority (e.g. Securities Commissions.)
Engage and work in collaboration with business/products/support unit in order to develop action plan for control processes in addressing the regulatory requirement upon gap analysis conducted.
Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation as well as taking appropriate action to correct the violation of laws, regulations (including reporting any suspicious act) or the Banks’ Compliance Manual and Standard Procedures in accordance with the internal procedures.
Engage and communicate with BNM/LFSA by understanding the underlying enquiries and issues for the purpose of detecting compliance issues and complying with the requirements.
Provide a high quality regulatory advisory service to Business Unit in respect of various products and support offices across the Banks on local regulatory requirements, including but not limited to foreign exchange requirements, PDPA, banking secrecy provision under various laws, regulations, regulatory notices and guidelines in order to ensure the Banks’ compliance with these requirements.
Assess, report, and investigate of regulatory breach incident, including follow up for action plan closure.
Conduct periodic compliance checking (Core Compliance and Financial Crime Compliance) to ensure the business conduct, procedures and processes of the business and operations meet the standards of external laws & regulations, the Bank’s Compliance Standard Manual and report the observations to the relevant compliance offices;
Establish and maintain the policies & procedures in relation to compliance with the Parent Bank & external regulatory requirements.
Provide advisory services to the Source Department on Compliance related matters in relation to parent bank’s requirements and external laws & regulations.
Monitor and check for potential conflict such as personal account dealing, outside business interest.
Monitoring and tracking of open issues to ensure proper timely closure of compliance issues.
Conduct validation of corrective action plan and updating status of Open Issue Management report in MUFG’s systems.
Strictly observe the deadline on the preparation of various compliance reports to Management, Parent Bank and Regional Office.
Attend to any ad-hoc or new assignments which may be delegated from time to time by the immediate Supervisor, CCO and Management.
Requirements
Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution. Candidates with Compliance Certification is highly preferred.
Possess 6-8 years of experience in banking compliance.
Strong knowledge of banking regulatory environment and regulations and deep understanding of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
Good communication skills with the ability to influence others and build good rapport with local and external regulatory bodies.
Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/client.
