As an Audio Visual & Video Conferencing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing the company’s video conferencing and AV infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to video conferencing and event services, including escalation management, RMA processing, and resolution of hardware/software issues. Conduct periodic equipment audits and maintain accurate inventory records Develop and maintain internal and end-user documentation for AV/VC architecture and operations. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, engaging professionally with end users, IT Video Teams, executives, and IT management. Skill Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience. 5 to 8 years of direct experience in AV/VC support, installation, and maintenance. Advanced technical expertise in configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and connecting AV equipment (cameras, microphones, projectors, monitors). Proficiency with Cisco, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Poly Endpoints, and familiarity with platforms such as Zoom Webinar, Qumu, Zoom Meetings, Teams Meetings, Cisco WebEx, Pexip, and CVI. Experience in A/V design, project budgeting, and project management. Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to AV/VC environments. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Visio for technical documentation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Perform system integration and enhancement for the broadcast & video platform (e.g. Video Compression systems, OTT platform and Conditional Access System (CAS)) according to new business or operational requirements. This covers multidiscipline areas such as hardware/servers, operating system, database, network, application, interfaces and rack/wiring.
• Supervise and lead all acceptance test execution on various project within the broadcast & video platform.
• Collaborate with vendors during the integration, test and execution of the live systems migration.
• Develop and enhance junior staff technical skills on various systems component.
• Coordination of training and hand-over of technical know-how to operations team.
• Assist in designing and developing future broadcast & video platform.
• Assist in research and development of technical specifications and new products.
• Identify the critical elements, which are missing in the acceptance test plan proposed by vendor.
• Identify issues and anomalies on applications and systems prior to the commercial release on the transmission systems.
• Answer technical queries from other departments especially broadcast operations, information technology and subscriber management.
• To identify the root cause of the problem and solve problems reported from the users in conjunction with vendor.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault finding on broadcast & video platform.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or Software Engineering / Broadcast Engineering with at least 3-4 years of experience in digital broadcasting company.
• Computer literate and good knowledge on Windows, Linux, Microsoft Office
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia language both spoken and written
• Good project planning and management skills.
• Good problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Good interpersonal skills.

• Media Contribution Delivery (MCD) to support the design, installation and maintenance of allocated parts of the organisation's linear and non-linear media equipment and infrastructure

The Engineer is expected:

• To perform allocated tasks in the areas of satellite and Contribution & Distribution operations e.g. to monitor the performance of satellite uplink/downlink & contribution/distribution systems and processes and communicates any issues for troubleshooting
• To maintain satellite & contribution/distribution service logs for compliance purposes. The work involves the constant monitoring of systems over long shifts and periods
• To report any anomalies or system faults immediately once detected

BE IP:

• To provide technical services to support the design, implementation, and ongoing support of IP-based media solutions within the broadcast infrastructure
• Ensure successful integration, maintenance & support of IP technologies for the production, management, and distribution of media content in the broadcast environment
• May require to perform shift duty, work late nights and to provide standby to support during key events

QUALIFICATIONS

• Polytechnic Diploma or University Degree in Technical discipline
• Possess IT networking skill and Satellite Communication knowledge will have priority
• Proficient in MS Office
• Proficient in written and communication skills
