InTest Thermal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience and a strong educational background in Thermal or Refrigeration Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, testing, and integration of advanced refrigeration systems capable of achieving ultra-low temperatures. This role requires expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration engineering to support product development and innovation. The position reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop ultra-cold thermal chiller systems utilizing advanced refrigeration technologies.
• Carry out thermal and mechanical analyses to verify system performance and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate refrigeration systems into thermal test equipment.
• Conduct testing and validation of components and systems to ensure compliance with performance requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing and field service teams.
• Maintain adherence to industry standards and safety regulations in refrigeration system design.
• Use SolidWorks and thermal simulation tools for system modeling and optimization.
• Estimate design costs and coordinate with system engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure the design meets intended requirements.
• Support implementation of new designs or related manufacturing processes; update ISO-related documents and procedures as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSME or MSME with an emphasis on thermodynamics, heat transfer, or refrigeration engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in ultra-cold refrigeration systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, thermal simulation software, and refrigeration system modeling.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressor technologies, and heat exchangers.
• Experience in the semiconductor or capital equipment industry considered beneficial.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced engineering setting.
• Familiarity with Modeling Packages (such as SDRC Modeling (FEA/FEM), Autodesk, Ansys; SolidWorks, Cosmos, and Flo Works (are preferred).
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration piping modeling is desirable.
