We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to shape the user experience for PropertyGuru's real estate marketplace platform. In this role, you will be pivotal in understanding user needs and pain points through comprehensive research, and translating these insights into impactful design strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing, to ensure a user-centric experience across all our platforms.
As a Guru, You Will Be Accountable For
- Conduct user research to gather insights on user needs and pain points.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform product and design decisions.
- Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the product design lifecycle.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to guide design processes.
- Design and conduct usability testing to validate design solutions.
- Advocate for the user by presenting research findings to stakeholders and guiding the team to make informed decisions.
- Stay current with the latest UX research methodologies and trends in the PropTech industry.
- Mentor junior researchers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Measure and monitor the impact of research on product decisions and user experience.

- Proven track record of translating user insights into successful product improvements
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Experience with usability testing, surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in research tools such as Figma, Miro, UserTesting, SurveyMonkey or similar platforms

You'll lead research that shapes SEEK's product strategy across the APAC region, focusing on both candidate and hirer. This isn't just about running studies - you'll identify what we don't yet understand about our users and markets,then design and execute research that uncovers new opportunities and reduce strategic risks.

The Team
You'll join a 70-person research and design community that's passionate about understanding users and creating better experiences. As a Principal UX Researcher, you'll be part of the Candidate team. QualificationsSkills and experience
- 8+ years conducting both qualitative and quantitative research with demonstrated impact on product decisions
- Degree in Psychology, HCI, Anthropology, Design, or equivalent experience
- Experience leading high-stakes research projects from question to recommendation
- Ability to take ambiguous challenges and create clear research plans
- Strong communication skills - you can present complex findings in ways that drive action
- Experience in consumer and/or business markets
- Bonus points for experience with UX metrics, competitive analysis, or workshop facilitation
