We are seeking an experienced Unix System Administrator to manage and support enterprise-level Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, middleware platforms (JBoss, WebLogic), and messaging platforms (IBM MQ, Apache Kafka). The role involves installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers in physical and virtualized environments.
• Administer and manage middleware platforms including JBoss EAP and Oracle WebLogic Server .
• Manage messaging systems: IBM MQ (queues, channels, security) and Apache Kafka (brokers, topics, partitions).
• Perform system and application performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Plan and apply OS and middleware patches/upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and security using appropriate tools.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting or Ansible.
• Work with application teams for deployment and environment configuration.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and failover readiness.
• Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

Required Technical Skills:

• Operating Systems: RHEL 7/8 (installation, tuning, security hardening).
• Middleware: JBoss EAP, Oracle WebLogic (deployment, clustering, JVM tuning).
• Messaging: IBM MQ administration, Kafka setup & monitoring.
• Scripting: Bash, Shell, or Python for automation.
• Tools: Ansible, Nagios/Zabbix/Prometheus, Git.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Server & VMware Administration JD

• Good number of IT experience with 5 years of global compute infrastructure engineering experience
• Installation and Administration of VMware ESXi 7/8.x, and VMware vCenter 7/8.x.
• Solid hands-on experience in architecting, designing and deploying Virtualization Technologies MS Hyper-V, VMware
• Work experience spanning multiple companies with complex compute infrastructures supporting physical, virtual (VMware, Vblock) and cloud (private, public, hybrid) compute environments
• Implement virtualization solutions based on VMware vSphere 7/8.x Environment
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to enhance team knowledge and efficiency
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving system performance and reliability
• Involved in live migration of virtual machines and VM files using vMotion and Storage vMotion
• Handling all server issues (Hardware, firmware, backup & troubleshooting auto generated alerts)
• Good knowledge in VROPS tool to manage capacity and to monitor infra performance
• HP hardware knowledge and server rack handling

3+ yrs Linux System Administrator experience, expertise in Unix scripting, and experience building servers from scratch (MUST HAVE)
