• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new construction projects

We are seeking an experienced Site Surveyor to join our team at China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Site Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and accurate planning, measurement and documentation of construction sites and projects. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for professional development and growth within our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

Conducting detailed site surveys to collect accurate data on terrain, boundaries, topography and other relevant features

Using specialised surveying equipment such as theodolites, GPS devices and total stations to gather precise measurements

Interpreting survey data and creating detailed site plans, maps and drawings to support project planning and implementation

Liaising with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and guidance

Ensuring compliance with relevant construction standards, regulations and safety protocols

Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all surveying activities

Providing training and mentorship to junior surveying staff as required

What we're looking for

Degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Surveyor in the construction industry

Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and technologies, including total stations, GPS and CAD software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data and identify practical solutions

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision in all work

Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge of relevant construction standards, regulations and safety practices
