Get to Know the Role
As a Senior Technical Program Specialist, you'll manage complex, cross-functional programs and bridge business and engineering teams. Reporting to the Lead Technical Program Manager, you'll create and maintain delivery roadmaps and improve program processes using data-driven methods.
This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will lead the roadmap planning and prioritization discussion with other functional leaders, and TPMs.
- You will work on large complex issues related to Tech, Business, and Product.
- You will manage a portfolio of projects as an advisor, and own some or all of the delivery of 1-2 large cross functional programs
- You will facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation details and remove blockers for the team.
- You will partner with other TPMs within the team for general program management - define and lead project timelines, and milestones, report progress, and resolve impediments.
- Have run and managed Campaigns and Non Functional priorities.
- Has experience in establishing Governance process across Org.
- You will find ways to help teams and us improve how it delivers.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need:
- At least 5 years of hands-on program and delivery management experience.
- Understanding of Agile; certification such as Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Good in establishing and running processes in an Org resulting in clear strategic alignments.
- Background in Cloud Product suites such as AWS/Azure/GCP
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and make autonomous decisions.
- Able to work with teams not co-located.

Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Technical Program Manager located in Flex Perai . Partner with the Design & Engineering teams and commercial teams to drive the design, validation and implementation of innovative and cost-effective product solutions of varying scope in order to meet customer requirements from development of conceptual prototypes and architecture thru the NPI phase. Work closely with the Director of Program Management to define market and product requirements and provide voice of the market and customer to the design & engineering teams in I&NV.
What a typical day looks like:
- Drive the execution of product development, contributing technical expertise to product development, coordinating the development of new technologies with technical program engineers, and ensuring program timing and budgets are met
- Drive definition of products in markets including consumer, industrial, medical, digital health, automotive, enterprise and cloud computing, IoT, etc.
- Actively identify and assess new product opportunities and initiatives for customer designs and white label products. Work closely with design engineering to extract and develop core product features-advantages-benefits information to drive and support the product marketing strategy.
- Translate customer’s technical needs and requirements to the NPI and CFT teams
- Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of inter-dependencies of such processes at the site
- Establish and ensure effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site and may have P&L responsibilities.
- Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives
- Lead program team, including regular team meetings and updates to management.

- Possesses a Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Qualifications Job responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with electrical power distribution equipment suppliers, ensuring quality management throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead in-depth power distribution failure investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Analyze production metrics, test results, quality audits, and field performance data to establish statistical links and drive quality improvements.
- Validate supplier build and test processes against Google requirements and related industry standards (e.g., Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance and product lifecycle integrity.
- Conduct supplier audits and inspections, identify areas for improvement in variability reduction, predictability, lead time optimization, and output quality enhancement.
- Partner with suppliers and internal Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to resolve product quality and process issues across the full product lifecycle (e.g., pre-launch through end-of-life). Manage quality improvement projects involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or technical project management.
- 2 years of experience in quality management.
- Certifications in Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA), or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in data analysis, report creation, statistical modeling, and forecasting.
- Experience with power distribution switchgear in data centers or related environments.
- Experience in Design of Experiment (DOE), statistical analysis, process control, and the use of statistical software (e.g., JMP/SAS, Minitab).
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards related to mission operations (e.g., NFPA/NEC, UL), or equivalent.
