Responsibilities

Daily Operations Management

· Responsible for overseeing the entire testing process, ensuring software and hardware quality, and leading a testing team. They develop test strategies, manage test plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals.

· Implement governance and reporting processes

· Implement standard processes, methodologies and tools

· Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the test strategy

· Perform all test/ management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality

· Responsible for managing the overall testing effort and deliverables, work with testing team to ensure that testing is on time and within budget

· Test planning activities and estimation, test scope definition with the use of risk based testing

· Manage test environment , test data preparation , test tools and test automation implementation

· Work with the application and technical architecture teams to plan various test phases

· Review test to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria.

· Define and facilitate formal sign-off process and procedures for testing deliverables

· Primary contact and escalation point for testing

· Manage and facilitate onshore-offshore communication

Engineering Change & Quality System

· Oversee the execution of engineering change requests (ECO, VCCA) and validation runs (FAI, SBR) to ensure production readiness.

· Maintain and regularly update quality system documentation including procedures, work instructions, matrices, and technical reports.

· Represent the Test Department in cross-functional meetings and drive alignment between test, production, quality, and engineering teams.

Team Leadership & Support

· Lead and allocate resources effectively across shifts; provide real-time technical support on the production floor.

· Mentor and develop test engineers and technicians through structured training and hands-on knowledge sharing.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

· Review new product documentation, define test strategies, and create detailed test plans and execution timelines.

· Act as the main technical liaison with customers and suppliers for product test-related discussions and updates.

· Lead internal development and customization of test systems to meet product-specific requirements.

· Conduct and document Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) activities per regulatory and customer expectations.

Continuous Improvement

· Initiate and lead improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce test cycle time, and improve yield.

· Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab for yield analysis, SPC, Cpk, and correlation studies.

Requirement

· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a test engineering role within the EMS or electronics manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

· Hands-on experience in PCBA testing methodologies such as ICT, FCT, Hi-Pot, Final Test, and Box Build Testing.

· Strong troubleshooting knowledge in both analog and digital circuits.

· Proficiency in test platforms like Agilent, Teradyne, GenRad, etc.

· Familiarity with ISO 13485, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and with international teams.

The IT Test Manager will oversee and coordinate continuous testing efforts that support ongoing system enhancements, mini projects, and version upgrades for investment upstream systems and other key applications requiring investment upstream systems involvement.

This role is essential to ensure that enhancements and system changes are properly validated, business continuity is maintained, and the applications remain reliable, functional, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Consultant’s essential duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:


1. Lead in Testing Strategy and Planning
• Plan, manage, administer, supervise, coordinate, and monitor testing activities
related to the upstream investment systems and other relevant testing activities
requiring upstream system involvement, ensuring all system functionalities work
as expected.


• Develop test strategies and activities; write, design, and execute test plans,
including the creation of test plan, test cases, scenarios, and detailed test scripts
for various testing types (e.g., functional testing, regression testing, performance
and stress testing, scalability testing, system integration testing, and user
acceptance testing).


• Define all testing activities in collaboration with the Customer’s vendor, project
manager, investment shared services team, system administration team, key
internal users, and business user managers.


• Recommend and control the testing scope, ensuring test scripts are well-defined,
executable, and completed within the project timeframe.


• Coordinate and prepare (where required) test data, whilst ensure test scripts and
test data are prepared and uploaded into the test tracker platform (automation
tools).


2. Lead in Testing Execution
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise upstream investment systems and other
relevant testing activities requiring upstream system involvement to meet the
testing requirements criteria from business user across all planned testing types.


• Ensure that testing execution confirms application functionality aligns with
business requirements and specifications.


• Track, report, monitor and follow up defects and bugs; compile and maintain
testing artifacts, results and statistics.


• Oversee the overall progress of testing activities, ensuring they are executed
within the agreed timeline, scope, and budget.


3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with the Customer’s business user manager, vendors, and project
key stakeholders to:


o Understand project scope and business requirements to develop relevant
test cases.
o Review and validate test scenarios.
o Confirm readiness of testing environments.
o Investigate and resolve testing issues.
o Escalate issues promptly during the testing phase.
o Apply testing policies in alignment with the defined testing framework.
o Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met


• Conduct and/or where applicable to facilitate a walkthrough session to discuss
on testing scope, testing progress and provide feedback to relevant teams.


4. Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including but not limited to:
o Compilation of variance and defect reports.
o Detailed and summary reports on test statistics and results.
o Test scope, test scripts and sign-off documentation for all testing types
based on relevant template
o Updated “To-Be” process documentation for screens and processes
tested.
• Coordinate the compilation and review of test variance reports and monitor the
progress of fixes.


5. Issues Resolution and Progress Monitoring
• Track and follow up on issues, variances, and bugs raised during testing to ensure
timely resolution.
• Collaborate with the Customer’s business analysts, testers, and developers to
investigate and resolve testing-related issues.
• Monitor the status of fixes and updates and communicate progress to
stakeholders.


6. Testing Quality Management
• Ensure that all testing activities and deliverables meet the Customer’s
departmental and project timelines.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with overall quality assurance standards.


Qualifications
1. Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in:
• Developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Preparing and loading test data and creating comprehensive test scenarios.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and implementing test processes to
ensure technical and business expectation for SIT and UAT are met.
• Proven experience working with JIRA and manual testing approach


2. Technical & Domain Knowledge
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Knowledge and exposure to managing testing activities related to investment
systems is an added advantage.
• Certification in testing (e.g., Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)) is an added
advantage.


3. Tools & Technical Skills
• Proficient in using testing and defect tracking tools, including JIRA.
• Familiarity with test data management and test automation tools (if applicable).


4. Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of critical assembly and automation systems, processes, and fixtures for new and existing RF and power products.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Product engineers to identify and resolve product and test yield and performance issues.
  • Coordinate the transfer of NPI products and legacy high-volume production processes into international and/or regional production facilities across MKS global footprint.

NextLabs is seeking a motivated, hands-on Software Development Manager in Test Automation who is interested in developing and maintaining large-scale automated test systems for mission critical enterprise software. This position requires solid project management skills; enterprise software development or testing experience; and expertise in architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of large software test automation systems. You will be managing a team of software engineers and working with software development, QA, solution implementation, and IT teams to deliver quality product releases while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of SDET engineers to develop and execute automated tests for complex software products.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and potential defects throughout product life cycles.
  • Lead quality acceptance activities for each project milestone.
  • Develop project plans, monitor the execution of project activities, and coordinate any changes.
  • Contribute and review code and test scripts as part of a collaborative team.
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure and CI processes to perform automated testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and augment technical documentation and source control.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instill the principles of this culture in the team.
  • Provide technical leadership as a working coach and perform hands-on solution implementation as needed.
  • Effective communication with management and the team.
Requirements
  • Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of software development or testing experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in leading successful software engineering teams is required.
  • Experience in enterprise software development or testing is required.
  • Expert in at least one programming language such as Java, Python or C++ is required.
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge in the following areas are desired:
    • ERP systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA or Oracle ERP.
    • Databases such as Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery or AWS Aurora.
  • Proficient with QA tools and automation frameworks such as Jira, Selenium, and Robot Framework. A working knowledge of Selenium is desired.
  • Experienced in implementing continuous integration and delivery concepts (CI/CD) using containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Demonstrates innovation, strong collaboration, excellent communication skills, and a passion for designing high-quality software.
