Purpose Statement: To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Please refer to discipline core skills for specifics.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Achieves in all phases of the full product realization process, as it applies to their role & region.
• Regarded as a "go-to" technical specialist, leader, and mentor within their engineering discipline; and/or as a cross-discipline leader and mentor for product development.
• Serves as a technical and/or project team lead, providing technical guidance, controlling scope, schedule, budget, and ensuring overall technical success on small to mid-size projects.
• Leads local continuous improvement activities related to their engineering discipline and/or project-level tools or processes.
• Provides customer service leadership in project technical discussions and supports/led business development and proposal creation.
• Responsible for exemplifying and holding their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. The leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential. (as applicable)

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a higher degree is preferred.
• Eight (8) years of related experience is required; more than 8 years of experience is preferred.

The Role

Plexus is seeking a talented and driven Senior Functional Test Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and commercialization of our innovative products, from concept to launch.

As a Senior Functional Test Design Engineer , you will be responsible for the design, development, and verification of test solutions for our products. You will utilize your engineering expertise and creativity to create robust and efficient test systems, ensuring the highest quality and reliability of our products.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Developing innovative test concepts and designs using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Performing design creation, analysis, and verification.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product life cycle, from conceptualization to sustaining engineering.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation in accordance with quality and change management procedures.
• Actively contributing to a Lean culture by applying Lean Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste, and improve processes.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in test design engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Experience with automated test systems, functional testing, environmental testing.
• A solid understanding of Lean Sigma principles and tools.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
