Main Purposes of Role :

  • To work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health

Key Accountabilities:

  • To provide various outpatient mental health services with the goal of patient recovery
  • To conduct intakes and monitor individual, group and family therapies
  • To develop service plans and conduct reviews as needed through the duration of treatment

Personal Specifications:

Qualifications

· Master’s degree, or higher, in Psychology, Counseling or related field

· Must be registered with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM)

· Must be licensed in your home country in the area of psychology, clinical social work, or related field

Experience

· Substantial and successful experience supporting individuals with a wide range of abilities and needs

· At least 5 years clinical experience

Skills/ Qualities

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

· Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information

· Maintains acceptable attendance record and is punctual

· Ability to gather, analyze and interpret data for effective target setting

We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and student-centred Guidance Teacher to join our Grade 12 team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal development through one-on-one counselling, academic pathway planning, and university application guidance. In addition, the Guidance Teacher will support students with social-emotional concerns and contribute to school-wide well-being initiatives.

This role also includes teaching one class per day, with flexibility in subject area—ideally in Social Studies, Business Studies, English, or Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic counselling to Grade 12/Pre-University students

  • Guide students in course selection and academic planning aligned with their post-secondary goals

  • Support students throughout the university application process, including essay writing, documentation, and interview preparation

  • Offer counselling and support on social-emotional matters, including stress, motivation, and personal well-being

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-wide well-being and mental health initiatives

  • Teach one class per day, in a subject area aligned with the teacher’s expertise and school needs

  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents/guardians, and staff

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Canadian (Ontario) curriculum is an asset

  • Secondary School Guidance Counsellor certification or equivalent training is preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or counselling experience at the secondary/high school level

  • A Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) is preferred

  • Experience with university admissions processes (Canadian, UK, US, and/or international pathways)

We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and student-centred Guidance Teacher to join our Grade 12 team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal development through one-on-one counselling, academic pathway planning, and university application guidance. In addition, the Guidance Teacher will support students with social-emotional concerns and contribute to school-wide well-being initiatives. This role also includes teaching one class per day, with flexibility in subject area—ideally in Social Studies, Business Studies, English, or Mathematics. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic counselling to Grade 12/Pre-University students

Guide students in course selection and academic planning aligned with their post-secondary goals

Support students throughout the university application process, including essay writing, documentation, and interview preparation

Offer counselling and support on social-emotional matters, including stress, motivation, and personal well-being

Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-wide well-being and mental health initiatives

Teach one class per day, in a subject area aligned with the teacher’s expertise and school needs

Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents/guardians, and staff

Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams on student support strategies and programming

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education and appropriate undergraduate degree(s) in one or more teachable subjects

Knowledge of the Canadian (Ontario) curriculum is an asset

Secondary School Guidance Counsellor certification or equivalent training is preferred

Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or counselling experience at the secondary/high school level

A Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) is preferred

Experience with university admissions processes (Canadian, UK, US, and/or international pathways)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Proficiency in using technology to support counselling and teaching

Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive and respectful school environment
