Executive, Group People | Hiring for Star Media GroupWe are looking for a Project Management Officer to join our Technology department. In this role, you will manage and execution a diverse portfolio of digital projects, including systems implementation, CMS management, site launches, online tools, advertising campaigns, web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage IT projects to ensure successful execution within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Define project scope, allocate resources, and estimate time and financial commitments.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Develop and maintain realistic project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor budget spending and seek approvals for necessary adjustments.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates and communication.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Track project progress, collect data, and adjust resources as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of project records.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT project management.
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Exposure to IT service management (ITSM) and service delivery.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, ITIL, ITSM, Scrum Master, Lean, Six Sigma, or CMMI are an added advantage.
- Familiarity with analytics and CMS tools (media) is a plus.

IT Project Managers are responsible for overseeing and managing IT projects within Prudential , which includes planning and managing resource, working with cross department stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets.
Project Management
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end which adhere with project risk, compliance & government framework.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals working with business solutions teams and stakeholders
- Develop project plans, track and monitor project milestones and delivery accordingly.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risk, and revise contingency plans;
- Ensure adequate staffing is in place for assigned projects
- Ensure assigned projects are implemented on time and on budget
- Ensure all project team timesheet is track and log accordingly
- Ensure the project implementation and resource cost is charge accordingly follow LBU
- Conduct project post mortems, i.e. project implementation report and create a recommendations report and lessons learned
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis;
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders;
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team;
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work;

As part a Global Technology Risk Management community, the role will support the LBU and Group by:
- Assuring Risk Oversight: Provide assurance and oversight on information and technology risks that may impact the LBU’s ability to achieve its business objectives.
- Risk Analysis and Recommendations: Offer objective analysis and detailed recommendations to LBU management regarding key information and technology risk areas, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation.
- Ensuring Risk Mitigation Effectiveness: Oversee the effectiveness of processes, tools, and technologies within the LBU, ensuring they are adequately mitigating risks to information and technology assets.
- Compliance Monitoring for Technology related regulations and guidelines: Collaborate with the Compliance and relevant Group functions to monitor compliance with technology related regulatory requirements, Group standards, and LBU-specific policies related to information security, technology, and data protection.
- Collaborative Risk Management: Partner with LBU operational teams to support the effective management of risks to information and technology assets.
- Independent Assurance: Provide independent assurance that information and technology risks are being managed within the risk appetite established by the Board.
- Framework Implementation Support: Collaborate closely with the Group Technology Risk Management team to ensure the successful rollout and implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and processes within the LBU.
- Develop and Implement TRM Framework: Lead the formation and successful rollout of the LBU Technology Risk Management (TRM) framework, ensuring alignment with local and regional requirements.
- Provide Expertise and Guidance: Offer technical and best practice guidance on information and technology risk, taking into account platform-specific and regional complexities.
- Risk Appetite and Key Metrics: Establish and roll out the information and technology risk appetite and key risk metrics for effective management oversight.
- Risk Register Monitoring: Proactively monitor the LBU risk register and escalate any potential risk areas for Group-level reporting, ensuring risks are appropriately rated and mitigated.
- Collaborate with Operational Risk: Work closely with the LBU Operational Risk Management (ORM) team to manage information and technology risks, ensuring alignment in risk treatment and reporting.
- Risk Culture: Promote a strong risk management culture across LBU stakeholders, focusing on managing information and technology risks effectively.
- Support Periodic Risk Reporting: Assist the LBU CRO in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of information and technology risk matters to the LBU risk committee.
- Technology domain risk oversight for Artificial Intelligence (e.g. AI governance committee) and Data Governance.
- Third Party Technology risk review of ACRs in various key strategic technology projects.
Qualifications
- Education: A technology-related degree (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science).
- Certifications: Candidates should hold relevant certifications in areas such as Technology Risk Management, Technology Audit, IT Management, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Software Engineering, or Project Management.
Examples include:
- Risk Management: CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
- Audit: CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

Basic Job Purpose
Support Technology to manage and implement projects and enhancements in accordance with
SDLC within the approved timeline and budget. Responsible to manage the resources and
coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultant in order to
deliver the project according to plan. To make sure regular update on the progress of the projects
to management and team members.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Accountable for delivery of specifics IT projects according to organization strategy and
direction.
2. Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects.
3. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
4. Develop project plans, define and schedule project activities and resource requirements.
5. Manage and track progress of cross-cultural IT teams and vendors on deliverables, costs,
schedule inter-team project dependencies, risks and issue using appropriate tools.
6. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and
presentations.
7. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely
and clear fashion.
8. Constantly monitor and periodically report on progress of the projects, problem encountered
and proposed solutions to all stakeholders.
9. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables.
10. Ensure deliverables are in compliance with organization’s policies, quality standards and
regulatory requirements.
11. Manage project financials to ensure that project is delivered within the budget.
12. Manage vendor relationship, including vendor contract negotiation and contract
management.
13. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence
them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
14. Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify
successful and unsuccessful project elements.
15. Assist in identifying improvement areas in organization’s project management processes
