Job OverviewThis position is responsible for, but not limited to, performing preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure total customer satisfaction. The Facilities Scrubber Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting scrubber systems to ensure effective removal of hazardous substances from process exhaust, in compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards. The role is vital in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on scrubbers and exhaust treatment equipment.
- Monitor system performance parameters (pressure, temperature, flow rate, pH levels) and adjust as needed for optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, or process issues in scrubber systems.
- Assist Facilities Engineer with daily and special projects, including design of scrubber equipment/control systems.

- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and PM records.

- Troubleshoot and rectify faults in all electrical installations and control systems.

About This Role
Job purpose:
Prepares the Simulation Training Equipment for daily operation, such as performing the visual alignment and the pre / post flight. Carries out and evaluates Simulation Qualification testing (QTGs) and performs preventative maintenance for each training device, based on the published monthly schedules. Loads appropriate exercise scenarios and other tasks required to prepare for specific training sessions, while also completing Journey Logs at the start and finish of scheduled training sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Diagnose and correct routine problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Train technicians in basic skills.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Actively pursue continued professional growth and training.
- Perform pre-flight and post flight on all simulators.
- Perform visual alignments.
- Run and evaluate Qualification Test Guide (QTG) results.
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- Minimum of 3 years direct simulator experience with at least 1-year relative simulator experience per assigned location.
- Ability to troubleshoot to system level on at least multiple types of simulators.
- Proficiency in using all types of test equipment.
- Ability to use and interpret all diagnostic available on multiple types of simulators.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight, and post flight checks on any simulator in the fleet.
- Ability to perform in-depth visual adjustment and set-ups on at least 1 type of visual system.
- Ability to assist with projects such as refurbishments and other hardware modifications.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display proficiency in any one of the following categories, above average skills in two more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management. Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Display basic ability to repair or replace PVC copper pipe (including soldering). Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers (e.g., Engineer I). Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary. Label any broken equipment and communicate problems to manager/supervisor. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order. Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets to manager/supervisor. Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use. Read, understand, and adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. **POSITION SUMMARY:**
Participates in planning, budgeting and scheduling of facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction. Participates in building space allocation, layout, and communication services. Assures that facilities activities comply with company and regulatory requirements. Assists Facilities Engineer with projects. May also be responsible for repairs, adjustments and on-going maintenance of facilities on Company premises. Works with wide variety of equipment. Works under minimal supervision.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Tracks measurements for Facilities and Health and Safety.
2. Assists Facilities Engineer with day-to-day projects and special projects.
3. Works on new building projects which require attending construction meetings and site supervision and provides equipment and office layouts.
4. May be required to travel to remote offices to work on space related projects.
5. Responsible for ordering parts/supplies necessary to complete special projects, remodels, equipment installations, construction, moves etc.
6. Coordinates with Department Managers in setting schedules for projects. Estimates costs and duration of projects.
7. Assists Facilities Engineer with design of electrical and mechanical equipment/control as needed.
8. May respond to emergencies immediately, which requires wearing a pager.
9. Participates in the planning/building of new facilities.
10. Routine facilities and utilities repairing and maintenance.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

**SKILLS:**
