**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Technical Support to External Customers
+ Handle technical enquiries and provide professional technical advice to customers on product handling and recommendation.
+ Deliver product demonstration and on-site trouble shooting to customers to support sales.
+ Develop, deliver, and maintain technical curriculum and hands-on workshops to ensure the external customer on the proper user and good performance of dental materials of Prosthetic Strategic Business Unit.
+ Assess, evaluate, and upgrade the skill set of local technicians in using our products with appropriate training programs.
+ Collect regular customer feedback on their technical requests from ongoing customer visits.
+ Monitor product performance in the field from technical and quality perspective and assist technically on the management of local studies, trials, etc.
+ Validate customer complaints by testing the product samples with suspected problems and achieve solution.
Sales & Marketing Support
+ Develop product and technical training program for existing internal sales, marketing, technical team and new hires.
+ Support trade shows and provide on-site product demonstration. Manage technical programs and events to support the sales and marketing goals.
+ Conduct planned customer visits in support sales and promotional initiatives.
+ Work with sales and marketing teams to identify and cultivate local KOLs to support and promote DENTSPLY products.
+ Build and maintain the positive relationship with KOLs, key accounts, technical training schools and universities by exchanging the latest industry knowledge and offering technical advice.
+ Actively interact with technicians in the market, to ensure updated and in-depth technical and market knowledge and share with marketing team.
+ Provide technical advice, review technical aspects of proposals, conduct testing and monitor feedback of existing and new launched products.
+ Review and assure the scientific quality of promotional materials and ensure the applicable legislation is observed.
+ Perform local competitors' product analysis.
+ Provide advice on optimum product positioning in the local market.
+ Arranged required dental training materials, support maintenance and housekeeping of laboratory, equipment, and training materials of training centre to fulfil the compliance to standard laboratory safety standards and internal quality.
**KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:**
**Education**
+ College's degree in relevant discipline or above.
**Experience**
+ At least 3 years relevant working experience of maintenance.
+ Relevant working experience and IT knowledge will be in advantage.
**Specific Knowledge /skills**
+ Excellent customer service ethics and technical service orientation.
+ Good interpersonal skills and team spirit, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The Field Support Engineer is responsible for all aspects of equipment support performed at customer sites or prior to delivery, and to ensure that it is completed in compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures. This may include pre-delivery inspection, installation, commissioning, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, breakdown repair, and in-service to customers on basic device maintenance.
He or she is the main contact point with the local customers. May be responsible for providing quotations and negotiating discounts within their approved DOA.

+ Effectively manage the customer expectation and compliance with customers' SLAs and safety
+ Able to support last minute call to attend the customer onsite calls at non-working hours.

**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
+ In depth experience with radiation medical device for a minimum of 2 years(good to have)Typically requires minimum of 5 years of work experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
+ Working experience in ICU / Operating Theatre / relevant hospital / healthcare environment
+ Working knowledge of ISO13485 / GDPMD
+ Requires knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education
+ Good knowledge on troubleshooting methods/skills and capital equipment control
+ Experience with SAP / Service Max

Resolves problems with customers via telephone, email or chat sessions using technical product knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. Troubleshoots problems with appropriate applications, products and vendors. Identifies and documents customer issues, and escalates complex issues. Understands multiple applications and platforms.
Responsibilities:
+ Communicates varied technical solutions to customers via multiple channels using effective communication, listening and comprehension skills.
- Fully documents customer interactions in real-time; may author content for review.
- Solves problems in a timely manner using full understanding of the product functions and features and customer environment.
- Analyzes and corrects product issues/ malfunctions with intermittent supervision on day-to-day work and general supervision on new assignments.
- Works on a full range of problems of moderate scope that require selection and/or modification of existing procedures and processes,
- Manages multiple tickets related a spectrum of technical problems.
- Collaborates with fellow technicians and supervisor to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrates the ability to articulate technical issues in simple to understand terms to both management and customers.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities.
- Demonstrates strong customer service, communication and problem solving skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School or equivalent vocational qualification / experience
Minimum Work Experience (years) : 1-2 years of experience
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Customer service values / orientation
- Solid professional work behaviors (attendance, teamwork, time management)
- Strong Communication skills (listening, providing clear and concise information, using proper language and grammar)
- Full knowledge of job related knowledge and procedures

+ Familiarizes self with new technologies, products and platforms
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree (Technical Degree). Technical Certifications preferred
+ 1-3 years demonstrated working experience required
+ Basic computer literacy with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package
+ Demonstrates ability to articulate technical issues in simple to understand terms to both management and customers
+ Demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills

As the Laboratory Field Engineer at Roche, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by troubleshooting instruments, performing installations, conducting preventive maintenance, and providing comprehensive after-sales service support. Your commitment to excellence will uphold our standards and contribute to enhancing healthcare outcomes globally.
**The Opportunity:**
+ Perform preventive maintenance, hardware installations, and software modifications promptly and efficiently.
+ Provide remote support through Roche Remote Solution or on-site assistance as required.
+ Deliver service training to customers and peers to ensure optimal instrument performance.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with Roche Global partners on complex technical issues.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions in the CRM system.
+ Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure timely updates in the CRM system.
+ Collaborate with Regulatory and Product teams to inform customers promptly about safety, quality issues, and technical updates.
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
**Who You Are:**
+ A degree in Biomedical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering. IT experience is advantageous.
+ Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory support roles
+ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a keen ability to comprehend manuals and guides.
+ Efficient, organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
+ Able to prioritize tasks effectively and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
+ Willingness to travel extensively in Melaka, with occasional assignments in Johor as a backup engineer
