About the role
We are looking for a senior AWS-focused Technical Services Engineer (Level 3) to join our Managed Services team. In this key role, you will act as the final escalation point for complex AWS technical issues, while maintaining the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical environments. You will manage full lifecycle operations - from system upgrades to patching, performance monitoring, and change documentation - across both production and non-production systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across AWS-based infrastructures.
- Back up and restore EC2 instances and attached volumes.
- Patch and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Perform application upgrades, including new releases across environments.
- Change instance configurations (e.g. disk size, FSx file systems, compute resources)
- Administer IAM and Active Directory group-based access management.
- Monitor system and application performance via AWS CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Plan and execute system migrations and infrastructure changes.
- Lead and document change processes via ServiceNow (SNOW), including evidence of installs/patches.
- Ensure optimal performance and resource utilisation across environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams on cross-functional issues and improvements.
- Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and 2 engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, FSx, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Proven experience in scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CLI)Strong understanding of IAM, Active Directory integrations, and role-based access controls.
- Experience with database management (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), including patching and upgrades.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and AWS-native solutions.
- Excellent documentation and change management skills, ideally with SNOW.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to handle high-pressure, critical issues.
- Hands-on experience with application lifecycle management in cloud environments.
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, SysOps Admin, DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

About the role We are looking for a senior AWS-focused Technical Services Engineer (Level 3) to join our Managed Services team. In this key role, you will act as the final escalation point for complex AWS technical issues, while maintaining the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical environments. You will manage full lifecycle operations - from system upgrades to patching, performance monitoring, and change documentation - across both production and non-production systems. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across AWS-based infrastructures. Back up and restore EC2 instances and attached volumes. Patch and maintain operating systems and applications. Perform application upgrades, including new releases across environments. Change instance configurations (e.g. disk size, FSx file systems, compute resources) Administer IAM and Active Directory group-based access management. Monitor system and application performance via AWS CloudWatch and Splunk. Plan and execute system migrations and infrastructure changes. Lead and document change processes via ServiceNow (SNOW), including evidence of installs/patches. Ensure optimal performance and resource utilisation across environments. Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams on cross-functional issues and improvements. Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and 2 engineers. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support disaster recovery planning. Qualifications and Experience Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, FSx, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.) Proven experience in scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CLI)Strong understanding of IAM, Active Directory integrations, and role-based access controls. Experience with database management (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), including patching and upgrades. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and AWS-native solutions. Excellent documentation and change management skills, ideally with SNOW. Strong customer orientation and ability to handle high-pressure, critical issues. Hands-on experience with application lifecycle management in cloud environments. Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, SysOps Admin, DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable. About The Job
- Plan, organize, lead, and manage the department's daily operations, focusing on technical design, engineering, development, construction, and installation of civil and structural works for project execution and tender submissions when needed.
- Supervise and ensure staff perform their duties effectively, providing ongoing training and on-the-job learning as required.
- Oversee and review the preparation, compilation, and submission of civil and structural design documents and drawings for approval by clients or consultants.
- Stay well-versed with contract documents, including conditions, scope, specifications, and project schedules for assigned contracts.
- Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and principals to ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and technical design and specification requirements.
- Supervise subordinates and subcontractors at project sites to ensure efficient execution of civil and structural work.
- Assist in negotiating favorable pricing and terms for major materials and subcontracted work for assigned contracts.
- Support the Proposal Department with tender bidding activities as needed.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or management.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Candidates with PE certification will have advantage
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in design of concrete & steel structures for water treament plants
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
- Able to review and suggest solutions to technical issues at the construction site
