Job Description

Responsible for assisting the Laboratory Technical & Compliance Manager in the day-to-day laboratory operations for the assigned section, ensuring effective implementation of the quality system ISO/IEC 17025, SAMM policy, and SGS GCSC requirements.

1. Assist Technical Advisor / Technical Specialist in new method development according to business needs.
2. Respond to queries raised by customers, business units, or customer support teams within the agreed timeframe, with minimal supervision.
3. Collaborate with the operations team on investigations and professionally deliver outcomes to the query raisers within the agreed timeframe.
4. Periodically review, enhance, and update Working Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
5. Work towards enhancing existing lab processes/methodologies to improve lab efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or any related science field from a recognized university or college.
• Experience in a relevant analytical laboratory is preferred; however, fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome as training will be provided.
• Good personality, independent, and a team player.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.

Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst , you will be a critical contributor to Altera’s supply chain transformation. You’ll use advanced analytics and data science techniques to deliver actionable insights, forecast performance, and improve operational resilience. Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insight Generation

• Analyze large datasets across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build statistical and machine learning models to support demand forecasting, capacity planning, and supply risk mitigation.
• Create scalable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to empower cross-functional decision-making.

Business Strategy & Partnership

• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, operations, and engineering teams to translate business questions into analytical frameworks.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of combined experience in data science, analytics, or supply chain strategy.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and advanced Excel; strong foundation in statistics and machine learning.
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts including sourcing, inventory management, demand planning, and logistics.
• Experience with ERP and SCM systems, such as SAP.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain complex findings to business stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Operations Research, Data Science, Statistics, etc.).
• Industry experience in semiconductors, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, supply chain risk modeling, or digital twin environments.
