POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of DayOne’s global growth strategy, the High Voltage (HV) Specialist within the Technical Advisory Group plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the integrity, resilience, and future-readiness of our high voltage infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Technical Advisory Group, this role is central to shaping and standardising HV strategies across our international portfolio, supporting DayOne’s mission to deliver world-class, high-availability Data Centres.

The HV Specialist acts as a subject matter expert, driving innovation in design, implementation, and optimisation of high voltage systems to meet the evolving demands of hyperscale and enterprise customers. This position combines deep technical expertise with strategic influence—ensuring safe systems of work, embedding operational best practice, and enabling scalable, compliant HV infrastructure across diverse regulatory environments. With a global remit, the role supports both new developments and live operations, with a focus on technical excellence, risk mitigation, and cross-regional knowledge sharing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· High Voltage Systems Management: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of high voltage systems within our Data Centre facilities.

· Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices related to high voltage systems. Develop and implement safe systems of work for HV operations.

· Troubleshooting and Repair: Lead troubleshooting efforts for HV systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.

· System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and processes to continuously optimize the performance of high voltage systems. Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.

· Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response procedures for high-voltage incidents. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and minimize impact during emergencies.

· Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage expertise and best practices in high voltage systems. Share knowledge and provide training to enhance the overall competency of the organization.

· Regional Remit: Support high voltage operations across the SE Asia region. Adapt strategies and solutions to meet regional requirements and regulations.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

· Extensive experience (5+ years) in high voltage systems, preferably in Data Centre or critical infrastructure environments.

· Strong knowledge of high voltage design principles, installation practices, and maintenance procedures.

· Proven track record in troubleshooting complex HV systems and implementing effective solutions.

· Experience in system monitoring and optimization, with proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience working in SE Asia and other global regions is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of regional regulatory requirements and operational challenges.

· Willingness to travel occasionally to support global projects and initiatives.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Head of the Technical Advisory Group, the Mechanical Specialist, is a critical role within our global Data Centre team. Your key responsibilities

As a FAAS Senior Associate, you’ll be a key member of the team, committed to supporting FAAS executives in building and maintaining relationships with clients and other service lines in EY. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and provide alternative viewpoints. Leveraging off our delivery tools and service enablers, you’ll assist to plan and execute projects and play a key role in the successful delivery of services to our clients.

We are looking for Senior Associate to join our team in executing assignments related to:

  • Finance process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including re-engineering of processes and providing advice on opportunities for automation
  • Audit or audit remediation to improve the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Adoption of new accounting standards to drive compliance to reporting requirements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform review and analysis to identify improvement opportunities related to finance processes, automation, controls and governance. This includes identifying and organising findings from the review, analysing their root causes, providing solutions to the findings as well as supporting the implementation of proposed solutions
  • Leverage on analytical or digital techniques to perform analysis to drive value and provide meaningful business information effectively, including highlighting potential areas of non-compliance or anomalies
  • Assess the requirements of accounting standards, the corresponding change impact and implementation considerations for clients
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of project delivery as well as business development related activities
  • Engage and establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels, consistently deliver quality work products and client services
  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks, develop relationships with members across EY practices to serve client needs

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field / ACCA affiliate
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Completed the designated number of any professional accounting papers i.e. ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW
  • Possess accounting technical capabilities and competency related to process improvement, familiar with enabling technology and innovations for finance function
  • Knowledge of new developments in the financial accounting and advisory services capabilities, stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the clients’ businesses

  • Leverage on analytical or digital techniques to perform analysis to drive value and provide meaningful business information effectively, including highlighting potential areas of non-compliance or anomalies
  • Assess the requirements of accounting standards, the corresponding change impact and implementation considerations for clients
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of project delivery as well as business development related activities
  • Engage and establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels, consistently deliver quality work products and client services
  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks, develop relationships with members across EY practices to serve client needs
