What's You Will Do
- Own content and social KPIs, using data to track, analyse, and optimise performance across all channels.
- Derive insights from audience behaviour, competitor activity, and market trends to refine strategies.
- Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g. Campaign, Performance Marketing, BD, Design, Partnership & Affiliates) for integrated execution.
- Manage and mentor a team of content creators and social media specialists across different languages.
- Implement a structured growth plan for the team members through guidance, goal setting, project ownership, and career development.
- Lead the three channels as described below.
- Other duties that may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the employee.
- Develop and execute local brand-building strategies aligned with Klook’s global brand direction and Malaysia’s business goals.
- Drive integrated campaigns that build brand awareness, trust, and preference among target audiences.
- Partner with regional brand and creative teams to localise brand assets and initiatives effectively.
- Ensure marketing plans are innovative and cost-effective, build long-term brand equity, and comply with brand guidelines across all communication touchpoints.
- Spearhead the overall content and social media strategy for all Malaysian audience segments (English, BM, Chinese).
- Guide the planning and production of engaging, high-performing content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, XHS, blog, etc.).
- Ensure consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging across all content touchpoints.
- Analyse, report and optimise blog, social, communication marketing channel effectiveness to understand and improve key metrics for customer engagement, draw quality traffic and user acquisition
- Lead the development and implementation of local public relations plans, working with PR agencies and regional communications teams.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with media, influencers, and KOLs to amplify Klook’s brand story.
- Secure positive media coverage and manage press releases, media events, and brand activation initiatives.
- 5-6 years minimum experience in digital content marketing, social media, or brand communications, including at least 2 years in managerial roles.
- Strong grasp of the Malaysian market, social media platforms (XHS, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) and deep understanding of consumer insights.
- Demonstrated success in brand building via creative storytelling and integrated campaigns, with proficiency in content performance analysis.
- Experience managing PR agencies and media relations. Proficiency with identifying proactive opportunities to pitch media stories based on industry or consumer trends
- Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills in English is a MUST. Good command of Bahasa Malaysia in verbal and written communication. Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, expectations, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of photo editing and graphic designing is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
