Responsibilities
- Responsible for corporate accounting and reporting activities to shareholders
- Responsible for managing monthly and quarterly financial closing processes of reporting entities
- Review of quarterly Consolidation of Business Groups (BG), Financial & Management reporting reconciliation
- Business partnering with Group corporate management, working together regional finance teams in Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong
- Manage forecasting and budget monitoring for Group corporate entities
- Take lead to manage process and cost control improvement initiatives
- Support and roll out financial compliance initiatives to ensure banking covenants of business groups are fulfilled
- Liaise with external auditors on year-end finalisation of reporting entities’ statutory financial statements
- Support ad hoc projects that may be assigned from time to time e.g. M&A, restructuring, set up of entities
- Take lead on Tax compliance e.g. Corporate income tax, GST, withholding tax
- Liaise with tax agent/ tax authorities on any tax queries which may arise
- Liaise with tax agent to support preparation of Transfer pricing documentations
- Compile quarterly Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reports for the Group,
- Support BEPS 2.0 GloBE calculations and compliance filings for the Group
Job Requirements
- An accounting/finance-related degree from a reputable university
- Certified CA/CPA qualified will be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of Group consolidation experience
- Prior experience with Big 4 accounting firms and MNCs operating within manufacturing or commodity trading sectors preferred
- Must be a team player and able to work across multi-cultural/multi-functional teams
