**Job Description**
The Tax Analyst is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the direct and indirect tax returns for a group of legal entities including but not limited to Tax ledgers, US GAAP Tax Provisioning and Quality Control of Tax Accounts
**Essential Responsibilities & Duties:**
+ Running day-to-day operations to meet KPI objectives based on Service Level Agreements (SLA) between the Hub and GeoUnit
+ Preparing tax reports for management on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis (including Tax Provision Models & Balance Sheet Notes, FP6 & iTax)
+ Preparing annual and quarterly tax forecasts
+ Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax returns including
+ Ensure compliance within filing deadlines for assigned entities
+ Preparing corporate tax returns on monthly, quarterly or yearly basis depending on Country requirements
+ Presenting and analysing final year end liabilities to GeoUnit Tax Team
+ Identifying and reporting critical issues to the Hub Regional Tax Compliance Managers
+ Liaising with external partners/advisors and dealing with queries relating to deliverables
+ Responsible for Country-by-Country reporting for assigned entities (only Direct Tax)
+ Performing analysis as and when required by the GeoUnit Tax Team

**Qualifications and Experience:**
+ Qualfied members of ACCA/ CIMA/ MIA/ MACPA/ CPA of Australia or equivalents

The Pall Indirect Tax Specialist (US and Canada) is responsible for supporting tax compliance activities by managing assigned jurisdictions and executing effective tax reporting and reconciliation strategies. Your role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate filings, maintaining audit readiness, and achieving the company's key compliance and financial performance indicators.
This position reports to Indirect Tax Team Manager and is part of Pall O2C Team located in PJ Selangor and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Serve as the focal person for operation for advice on all indirect tax queries related to US and Canada, including the resolution of tax disputes. Ensure compliance with Canadian and US indirect tax regulations, -including GST/HST, PST, QST, and SUT-by accurately preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax returns on time.
+ Analyze and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies related to Sales and Use Tax, GST, Unclaimed Property other indirect taxes.
+ Support audits and assessments by preparing documentation, responding to auditor queries, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
+ Manage the end-to-end process of Exemption Certificate and Unclaimed Property
+ Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of indirect tax reporting and compliance.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/ finance, or equivalent. Relevant certifications are a plus.
+ Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the related field is required for this position. Experienced in Indirect Tax North America (Sales and Use Tax) and Canada (GST and PST) will be an added advantage.
+ Language: - Good written and spoken English.
+ Shift hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM MYT.
+ Skills: Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Working in a Shared Service environment
+ Operating knowledge of ERP system - SAP S4 Hana and Vertex System

Responsibilities
+ Contribute to the strategic development of the Tax & Financial Reporting team
+ Ensure the successful implementation of new business pipeline

+ Manage the completion and delivery of all tax, financial and other regulatory reporting (business activity statements; distribution calculations; tax returns; accounting to taxable income reconciliations; financial statements; APRA and ABS regulatory reporting)
+ Structured MIS provision and reporting to all stakeholders
+ Lead on regional and global internal initiatives

+ Ensure Tax & Financial Reporting adheres to company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements

**As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:**
Key Requirements
+ 8 - 10 years of experience with a background at a client facing management level
+ Strong leadership skills and proven ability to coach and develop talent across multiple jurisdictions (including virtual) to a high standard
+ Positive and dynamic attitude to work with an ability to create a positive culture
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

+ Detailed knowledge in the Financial Services Industry (administering Managed Investment Funds)
