The Tax Analyst position will support tax compliance requirements related to Corporate Income and related taxes for Speedcast group entities operating in the EMEA & APAC Regions.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with local accounting firms to ensure the timely preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, including liaison with Regional Shared Service team personnel.
- Working with Treasury and AP teams to ensure the timely payments of income taxes and their posting to the relevant general ledger accounts.
- Handling tax audit issues in conjunction with local advisors.
- Assisting as needed Shared Service teams with local statutory tax disclosures.
- Supporting the preparation of Group year-end income tax provisions for the EMEA & APAC regions as needed.
- Responsibility for inputting purchase invoices related to tax payments or tax advisor fees into the ERP of the company for processing.
- Updating Tax department trackers for regional compliance filings status and audit status.
- Prepare workpapers and various schedules needed for the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation.
- Work with varying levels of personnel and management, both inside and outside the accounting and tax department; ensuring appropriate analysis of issues and concluding accounting and tax treatments.
- Provide hands on support for ad hoc projects as required.
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 1-3 years total related work experience.
- Experience with tax filings and working in a tax accounting environment of a MNE.
- Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
- Good organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.
- MS Office, Outlook, Word, Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- Microsoft Navision.
- OneSource Tax Provision and Income Tax Return software
- English speaking.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects.

Prepare all tax returns (Corporate, GST, deferred, withholding, VAT, DST) and post tax entries and reconciliations to accounts.
Follow up on all tax refunds, including GST.
Ensure compliance with corporate income tax withholding rules for cross-border payments.
Assist with transfer pricing matters and guide intercompany transactions.
Prepare information and responses for local tax authority queries.
Provide assistance during tax audits.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end provisions according to Group Guidelines and ICS framework.
Maintain records for contingent liabilities, DTA/DTL workings.
Prepare tax schedules for auditors and tax authorities.
Ensure proper documentation and provisions for Transfer Pricing.
Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates.
Maintain a tax database for carry-forward balances and ensure accurate movement in tax codes and balance sheets.
Coordinate with functions to optimize tax outflow and implications.
Support functions in Capex decisions and Permanent Establishment (PE) considerations.
Evaluate and propose tax benefits for businesses to stakeholders.
Assist in preparing tax audits and statutory audits, collaborating with auditors, consultants, and the Shared Services team for timely and accurate financial closes.
Ensure tax tasks align with corporate policies, authority matrices, and ICS.
Coordinate and follow up with auditors for timely completion.
Support the Registrar of Companies and assist the Tax Manager with tax litigation representations.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
At least 4 years of professional experience, ideally with a background in MNCs or Accounting firms
In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Our Global Finance Controllership Team provides support for the business for technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, including process simplification and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.

You will support various tax jurisdictions for the Europe Region to manage the calculation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of Taxes at Global Finance Organization.
As a Global Tax Centre Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing annual tax compliances for the Europe region such as the Corporate Income tax returns, CBCR, and tax account reconciliation.
- Documenting and communicating abnormal tax expenses to Operations and Management.
- Streamlining audit management – turnaround of data in response to tax notices.
- Coordinating information requests with internal and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely closure of tax reporting deliverables.
- Keeping the company abreast of all legal taxation matters for a successful tax practice, i.e., audits, tax updates.
- Identifying and driving automation projects and process improvements which increase efficiency and scalability of data.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in a related finance subject and work experience in an accounting environment.
- Have a minimum of 3 years corporate tax experience for any tax jurisdiction.
- Possess good analytical skills with a proactive mindset, with the ability to bring expert advice and problem-solving skills to the team.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills in English.
