- Continuously monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields, with a major in Taxation preferred.
- Professional qualifications such as CTIM, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a tax/accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
- Strong understanding of tax rules, practices, and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
- Keen interest and capability in conducting extensive tax research.

We are seeking a skilled Transfer Pricing Specialist to support our tax function, ensuring compliance with Malaysian transfer pricing (TP) regulations, managing documentation and filings, and serving as a liaison with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Malaysia's TPD requirements, strong documentation skills, and the ability to navigate both domestic and international transfer pricing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare in-depth Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD) and benchmarking analyses in line with the Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023 and Malaysia’s TP Guidelines.
Conduct Functional‑Assets‑Risk (FAR) analysis and comparable searches; source and interpret financial data as needed.
Track and manage internal and client deadlines; coordinate documentation file setup and maintain organized filing systems.
Prepare and submit relevant TP filings and respond to IRB queries, handling correspondence and follow-ups efficiently.
Engage in advisory work—draft TP proposals, memos, and reports for internal review and client communication.
Stay updated on Malaysian TP developments and global OECD TP guidelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g.,ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA ) are strongly preferred.
3–8 years of relevant work experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax team.
Strong understanding of Income Tax Act 1967 (TP provisions), Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023, Malaysia TP Guidelines & OECD guidelines,IRB clarifications and audit procedures
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and project management capability.
Proficiency in mandarin is vital in this role to deal with mandarin speaking counterparts

The candidate supports the APAC region focusing mainly on SAA market (Singapore, Australia, Malaysia) with keeping their entities compliant with local tax law, ensures that tax policies and processes are followed, identifies tax risks (and opportunities) and monitors changes in tax laws. The Senior Tax Specialist APAC works closely with the Regional Finance team and the Group Tax team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors and supports with CIT, indirect tax, WHT, TP and other (local) tax compliance and reporting obligations in the region
- Supports with the tax aspects of the implementation of a new ERP system
- Supports with quarterly tax provisioning process and annual return-to-provision calculation
- Supports with estimating the tax payments in the cash flow forecast
- Ensures that tax policies are followed, and standard tax procedures are implemented
- Identifies tax risks (and opportunities), and supports with mitigating these risks
- Manages tax aspects of M&A and internal reorganizations
- Supports with tax audits or enquiries from local tax authorities
- Monitors changes in laws and regulations, and ensures that relevant changes are applied properly
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Tax
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in tax advisory or compliance
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
