The Reliability Engineering Team is responsible for the overall health of critical systems across Vantage global facilities. For each of the major systems Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls, the Reliability Engineering team is responsible for ensuring success in the commissioning stages of new construction, evaluating and improving the reliability and performance of existing critical infrastructure, sustaining equipment operational availability through maintenance program design, providing ongoing technical support to the Site Operations Teams, as well as providing systems reliability and maintainability feedback to the Design Engineering teams for future design considerations. Position Description

The Reliability Engineer for electrical systems is responsible for the overall functional health of critical power systems. This responsibility includes oversight of facility acceptance testing, electrical system maintenance planning, and Site Operations technical support. Requirements for this position include full familiarity with electrical systems arrangements, equipment types, electrical system protection components, electrical switchgear automation and control components, onsite power generation, and critical power distribution. The electrical Reliability Engineer understands potential system failures and extended effects of those failures, appropriate failure response actions, as well as maintenance and electrical testing techniques. Also required is an understanding of electrical system theory, an ability to read drawings and schematics, and an ability to identify likely failure points in design. The electrical reliability engineer acts as an advisor for Site Operations to reference as needed and has enough experience to train technicians to the level of effective troubleshooting. The mechanical systems Reliability Engineer regularly interfaces the Vantage Design Engineering team, the Automation Systems Group, and Facility Operations teams. Essential Job Functions

Ensure newly built systems meet design intent and perform without issue during the facility acceptance testing phases of new construction.

Design maintenance programs to maximize equipment operability and efficiency while minimizing life cycle costs.

Understand potential equipment failures and provide full technical support Facility Operations teams in the event of a critical system failure.

Conduct root cause analysis reviews with site teams and key OEM vendors and develop a corrective action program.

Provide systems reliability and maintainability feedback to the Design Engineering teams for future design considerations.

Duties

Work with Design Engineering and Construction teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.

Review construction equipment submittals, identify potential deficiencies, and evaluate maintenance feasibility.

Review commissioning plans and ensure the thoroughness of startup testing.

Attend factory witness testing to verify and validate equipment functionality

Identify risks and develop risk management plans to manage improvement initiatives that boost system reliability and anticipate reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.

Work with Site Operations to perform analyses of Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and Remaining useful life.

Implement energy saving measures to improve the overall PUE of the system.

Perform Root-Cause Failure Analysis and facilitate corrective action.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent field experience to successfully perform essential job functions.

5 years of experience in engineering design of critical systems and/or critical facility technical operations and maintenance.

Ability to travel up to 25% of total work time.

Ability to travel internationally.

About the Role We are currently expanding our advanced manufacturing and R&D footprint in the South East Asia region where we are collaborating with vendor partners to develop complex automation solutions for dental manufacturing. These initiatives require co-development of novel, custom 3D/CAD/CAM algorithms and coordination with production process management software for machines to operate successfully in our manufacturing center. To accelerate this work, we’re hiring a software engineering team based to work closely with local vendors and serve as the technical bridge between our U.S. engineering team and the machine development process on the ground. This is a critical hire designed to increase development velocity. You’ll be close to the heart of Dandy’s automation innovation, solving novel problems that intersect software and hardware and make a significant contribution to shaping the future of custom digital manufacturing. What You’ll Do

Be the bridge between our machine development and software development teams.

Oversee development testing and deployment of custom software modules which are critical to machine function (eg: custom path planning or design for manufacturing compensation algorithms)

Drive team execution and accountability in alignment with the strategic goals of the phases of machine development.

Partner with our TPMs to ensure development dependencies are in alignment with project program plans.

Work with the U.S.-based team during a daily 1–2 hour overlap window to stay aligned and escalate major issues or requests for support.

Grow, coach and ensure career development of your team members

Act as the engineering point of contact for automation development partnerships

Serve as the first line of technical defense for any software or system-related failures in APAC-based machine development and testing

What we’re looking for

Ideally in a manufacturing, robotics, or automation context: 3+ years of software team and project management

5+ years of software engineering experience

Prior experience with industrial automation, robotics systems, or CAD/CAM workflows.

Familiar with systems integration, hardware/software interfaces, and production station bring-up.

Experienced with diagnostic tooling, debugging processes, and real-time monitoring of distributed systems.

Comfortable with ambiguity and working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams.

Strong communicator, able to coordinate across time zones and distill complex problems into clear updates and action plans.

Highly process-oriented with a strong emphasis on writing clear, maintainable documentation to support asynchronous collaboration.

Work Environment

This role is based in Malaysia , with onsite presence required during key moments (e.g., equipment bring-up, vendor collaboration), and hybrid flexibility during lower-activity periods.

Open to traveling 1-2 times per year to the US.

Expected to maintain daily 1–2 hour overlap with the U.S. team for syncs and progress updates.
