• Develop and evolve best practice guidelines for new technology and security

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience

Experience:

• Computer system and network security fundamentals and administration
• Basic understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
• Experience supporting Asia-Pacific users using onsite and remote support technologies
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain system documentation

Technical skills :

• Basic experience with networking, Windows, web servers, virtualization, cloud computing, capacity planning, security, and problem-solving.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration is a plus

About Role

In this hands-on role, you will be part of an energetic and growing team whose primary role is in managing Convatec's global IT Infrastructure. You will be responsible in managing the Linux ecosystem, focusing on day-to-day operations and optimization tasks, involving installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization. Duties include user access management, backup implementation, performance and troubleshooting to support business requirements.

The role will require participation in on-call rotations, incident response, and collaboration on simple projects. Our APAC GBS supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Monitor health, security, and performance of Linux servers and systems

• Maintaining system stability and ensure high availability

• Implement backup and recovery strategies

• Manage capacity planning and resource allocations

• Implement and manage security controls, patches, and updates

• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and threats

• Enforce access controls and privilege management

• Establish best practices and standards for Linux environments

• Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes

• Install, configure, and optimize Linux operating systems

• Manage software packages and dependencies

• Provide technical support for complex issues and perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures

• Participate in on-call rotations for critical systems

About You

• Min 3 years hands-on technical experience with tertiary education in relevant field

• Experience working in a Shared Service environment supporting APAC/Global markets will be an added advantage

• Certifications in Linux system administration are considered a plus, such as RHCSA, LPIC-1, CompTIA Linux+

• Strong stakeholder management experience Problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution

• Experience in managing small-scale projects

Stay on top of latest Baidu-specific and Google algorithm releases and report any changes that may impact the client’s websites. Participate in other ad-hoc projects including but not limited to, the above-listed responsibilities as requested by the company. Set up, configure, and maintain web stacks, support dev teams to finetune web stacks. Manage and maintain domain list and DNS configs. Support marketing teams’ system and WordPress config needs. About Role In this hands-on role, you will be part of an energetic and growing team whose primary role is in managing Convatec's global IT Infrastructure. You will be responsible in managing the Linux ecosystem, focusing on day-to-day operations and optimization tasks, involving installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization. About You Min 3 years hands-on technical experience with tertiary education in relevant field

Experience working in a Shared Service environment supporting APAC/Global markets will be an added advantage

Certifications in Linux system administration are considered a plus, such as RHCSA, LPIC-1, CompTIA Linux+

Strong stakeholder management experience Problem-solving abilities to see issues through to resolution

Experience in managing small-scale projects
