Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment: support the performance of both inherent and residual risk assessments (regular, dynamic and targeted).

Identify insights, analyse, and assess OTCR risks and implementing control frameworks to manage these risks.
Development of basic MI to support Coverage and SME actions (i.e., trends).
Conduct deep dives into material, emerging, or unknown risks to enable appropriate risk mitigation.
Manage issues as they arise, performing root cause analysis, lessons learned, and remediation efforts.

Ensure full compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements (e.g., BOMBA, DOSH, DOE) including periodic submission and audits.
Develop, review, and implement fire protection SOPs, emergency response procedures, and system specifications.
Support the development and execution of evacuation drills and fire response training for site personnel.
Monitor system performance and propose improvements, upgrades, and expansions based on risk assessment and capacity planning.
Participate in hazard identification, job safety analysis (JSA), and incident investigations related to fire/life safety.
Support engineering design review for new projects to ensure FLSS compliance and best practices are implemented from design to commissioning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation: system drawings, test reports, maintenance logs, BOMBA certificates, etc.
Collaborate with Facilities, EHS, and IT teams to ensure integrated safety coverage across all areas of the site.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering.
Minimum 4–5 years of experience managing fire protection and life safety systems in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech facility.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysian fire safety codes and BOMBA compliance requirements.
Experience with fire detection and suppression systems used in cleanroom and Data Center environments.
Strong understanding of NFPA, BOMBA, OSHA, and relevant international standards.
Proficient in using Building Management System (BMS), fire system panels, and CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Able to support site operations during emergency scenarios and after-hours incidents if required.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Fire Protection Professional or BOMBA-accredited certification.
Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ERT (Emergency Response Team) participation.
Exposure to cleanroom protocols, hazardous chemical fire risk, and mission-critical infrastructure protection (Data Centers, labs).
Familiar with LEED or green building fire system integration.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
1. Occupational Safety and Disaster Prevention Management
Conduct occupational safety audits and risk assessments (RA) to identify high-risk areas (e.g., plating line, etching line, press furnace, yellowing area).
Establish and implement Safety Operating Procedures (SOP) and Safety Work Instructions (SWP).
Promote machine safety protection (guards, interlocks, emergency stops) and hazard labeling.
2. Chemical and Special Operation Safety Management
Review and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical handling processes.
Supervise high-risk operations such as confined space entry, work at height, and hot work.
Implement and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
3. Fire Prevention, Disaster Prevention, and Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
Develop and execute disaster response plans (ERP) for fire, chemical spill, earthquake, or power outage.
Conduct regular fire drills, spill response drills, and evacuation exercises.
Establish and manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
4. Personnel Safety Education and Training
Conduct safety training for employees, technicians, and contractors (new hire, refresher, annual training).
Train personnel in the proper use of PPE, gas detectors, and other safety devices.
5. Safety Inspection and Abnormality Improvement Tracking
Perform daily or weekly plant safety inspections, record findings, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Monitor chemical storage, labeling, machine guarding, electrical safety, evacuation routes, and PPE compliance.
Establish and maintain a reporting and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) system.
6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations / Government Audits
Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations (e.g., OSH Act, FMA, DOSH/OSHA).
Coordinate and prepare documentation for government audits (DOSH, Fire Department, DOE).
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Safety, Occupational Health, or related engineering field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Act, Chemical Control Act, and Fire Services Act.
Knowledge in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA, JSA, FMEA).
Skilled in contingency management, root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Whys), and incident investigation.
Familiar with safety equipment such as PPE, gas detectors, spill response kits, etc.
Experience with documentation, internal audit, and ISO 45001 management systems.
