Reporting to the Cloud Engineering Operating Systems Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the infrastructure services we deliver to our internal and external customers around the globe as part of our 24X7 Global Operations Centre based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Operating Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring our services remains available, secure, cost effective whilst performing to design. This role is required to administer, support, maintain our global hosting platform working autonomously and collaboratively with our local and global team members. You will need to apply your knowledge of operating systems, Citrix, Backup, Patching, Networking and virtualisation technologies to ensure best practice configuration, performance and security is maintained. You will need to be able to work under pressure during customer affecting incidents to quickly restore service or determine effective work arounds. This is an ideal role for someone who has a solid foundation in Information Technology, a thirst for knowledge, a curious mind and a desire to do more with their skills. This role also carries a strong need for service and SLA orientated thinking with a customer first mentality, and cultural sensitivity. Day-to-day

Manage/Responsible for the Server estate ensuring Service is Optimal RDS/Citrix Installation/Support SSL Certificate Management Restoring VM’s/Databases as required Working with application support teams to troubleshoot/resolve issues Ensure Monitoring is in place and functioning Perform Upgrades where applicable Work on assigned Service Requests and Incidents within the documented SLA’s Work within an ITIL framework to reduce customer impacting Incidents Review workload to drive efficiency, move processes and technology towards automation and self-service Note:

This is a 15-day month shift rotation role. You will be required to work on a rotation shift from the office 8am/8pm and 8pm/8am on a rotating basis with the flexibility to work from home as needed. What are we all about?

Lead and manage a team of software engineers through the full software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Need

5+ years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Experience working with remote team members in an agile environment with working knowledge on how work gets from idea to production

Excellent React and front-end development skills and consuming API services

Comfortable with HTML5 and grid-based CSS frameworks like Bootstrap

Excellent Java 8+ and Java Spring experience. Will focus on Spring Boot and Spring Data feature sets

Ability to write MySQL queries (MongoDB experience a plus)

Strong Python skills utilizing packages such as Pandas, PySpark and Numpy

Deep understanding and application of modern data processing technology stacks. For example, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and others

Understanding of the theory and application of Continuous Integration/Delivery

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Qualifications and Skills

Design, develop, and maintain software in C++ or configuration language for 3D applications Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and SOLID practices throughout the solution development process Collaborate closely with team members in Agile/Scrum processes, participating actively in technical discussions, estimations, reviews, and retrospectives Provide transparency on task progressions and take responsibility for planning and organizing your own work Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions Handle customer issues by providing troubleshooting support and bug fixes Adhere to organizational quality processes for ISO/FDA/MDR compliance Qualifications
