Global System Integrators (GSI) play a crucial role in Canonical growth plans in the coming 3 years. We are hiring a Partner Sales Director to work closely with Canonical GSI partners throughout their sales cycles and across their sales organizations to facilitate Ubuntu based solutions and opportunities, as well as help GSI build long term digital transformation platforms with Ubuntu stacks and services.
Reporting to the VP Global Alliances and Channels, the Partner Sales Director will be responsible for building trusted relationships with partners, increasing Canonical market share and attach rate, evangelizing about the partnership and leading all business interactions from engineers to CxO level. They will own the strategy, the sell-to, sell-through and sell-with motions with the GSI and will animate many customer workshops, sales events, public presentations and executive engagements.
The role entails
- Build strategic relationships with partners at levels, and stickiness with Ubuntu technology
- Deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, and open source selling models
- Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms
- Deep understanding of partner organizations and sales models, in particular with Global System Integrators
- Work closely with marketing, sales engineering and product management to deliver on targets, objectives and provide a voice of the partner
- Lead executive interlocks between partners and Canonical leadership team
- Ability to travel - sometimes internationally - up to 40% of the time
- Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles
- Extensive experience with OpenStack, virtualization, containers and other Cloud technologies.
- Autonomous, disciplined, hands-on, get-it-done mentality
- Ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, identify and create opportunities
- Passionate about Ubuntu products and mission
- Comfortable in fast-paced and high pressure environments with ambitious achievement goals

About The Role
Join our dynamic team as a Technical Consultant, where you’ll contribute to building scalable, user-friendly web applications and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll support the development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, working alongside experienced developers and global teams to deliver impactful solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver frequent, incremental product updates through fast-paced, collaborative development cycles.
- Analyze requirements and design scalable enterprise applications with clear technical specs and prototypes.
- Manage source code, version control, and documentation throughout the software lifecycle.

- Exposure to ANY Reporting Technologies or Reporting Services for data visualization and reporting tasks.
- Comfortable using version control and package management tools like GitHub, NuGet, and npm.
- Experienced in providing technical support and managing IT service requests using ServiceNOW.

As a Technical Consultant, you will work directly with clients to configure and deploy enterprise software solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. You’ll contribute to proof of concepts, participate in design and delivery phases, and help evolve our deployment capabilities using modern DevOps and container orchestration tools.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Participate in technical workshops and design sessions with clients during project initiation and definition stages.
- Document functional, technical, architectural, and data management requirements in collaboration with solution architects.
- Set up and maintain development and test environments using containerised platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Configure and deploy the Sensa-NetReveal platform in Azure, hybrid cloud, and on-prem environments.
- Own and manage version control and CI/CD processes, working closely with release managers and DevOps teams.
- Troubleshoot complex environment, integration, and performance issues across cloud-native and legacy infrastructure.
- Perform data loading, transformation, and management using SQL and Python.
- Support QA and testing phases by resolving technical defects, clarifying test cases, and ensuring environment readiness.
- Guide clients through SIT, UAT, and performance/security testing phases, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Package software for deployment and author clear, concise installation and configuration documentation.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support during production rollouts and post-go-live phases.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, platform improvements, or client-specific enhancements.
- Mentor and train junior team members and support ongoing knowledge sharing across the team.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience of technical consulting or implementation experience in enterprise software environments.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure) and cloud deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerised deployments.
- Solid experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2) and advanced SQL.
- Familiarity with Java/J2EE-based architectures and enterprise integration patterns.
- Knowledge of application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience delivering in Agile/Scrum environments.
Bonus skills (but not mandatory)
- Strong background in Linux/Unix environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Solaris).
- Proficiency with Python for scripting, data manipulation, and light automation tasks.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Prior experience in financial services.
