Solution Expert for two applications (DENODO & KNIME)

Design & Develop Data Workflows in KNIME:

• Create, maintain, and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) workflows using KNIME Analytics Platform

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years related experience, experience in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing industry is preferred
• Experience in planning, designing, and implementing complex systems
• Proficiency in Agile development methods
• Good knowledge in SQL and database systems (e.g. Oracle, MSSQL,MongoDB)
• Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript, with experience in developing robust applications or scripts
• Experience with containerization platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes is highly desirable, indicating an understanding of modern deployment practices
• Existing Knowledge in at least one of the following tools are preferred
• KNIME (Konstanz Information Miner)
• DENODO (Data Virtualization)
• Very good at written and oral in English

GENERAL SUMMARY

On behalf of 600 current clients in the academic, professional, government, corporate and information technology markets, Prometric develops and/or delivers assessments through a global network of testing centers in 132 countries as well as direct to candidates via the Web

Prometric is seeking highly motivated, system administrator to handle daily functions. The administrator functions include backup checks, restoring data, building VM servers, daily production support, monthly Microsoft security patching and software deployments.

The candidate will work one evening shift in support of the global teams of Production Support, System Engineering and development. Candidates will be asked to work weekends for monthly security patching, production deployments and on-call support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Build and maintain a variety of operating systems VM servers to include Microsoft and Linux.

· Troubleshoot systems to include hardware, software, and applications utilizing standard Microsoft toolsets. · Perform installations of in-house applications based on standard release notes.

• Perform monthly Microsoft security patching to all environments.
• Perform daily backup checks of all production environments and correct if there are issues.
• On request, restore data from backups.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and outside representatives.
• Execute ongoing procedures for upgrades to servers, applications and networks, inclusive of patching and configuration changes necessary for server hardening.
• Deploy internally developed software in test and production environments.
• Provide on call support after standard business hours and be available for weekend software deployments into the production environment.
• When needed, assist the Cyber Security team in checking daily lists.

REQUIREMENTS

• Applicant MUST be fluent in English.
• Working knowledge of data center operations, network operations, network management, network protocols, infrastructure design and implementation, client/server architecture and application security.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMWare).
• Understanding of enterprise authentication systems, particularly Microsoft Active Directory.

Responsibilities:

• Assume the role of a Cloud Engineer / Windows/Linux Systems Administrator and Consultant
• Architect project solutions, implement and document infrastructure/system deliverables for
  on premise and cloud-based implementations
• Implement Microsoft-related server technologies for Windows platform including Windows Server
  OS and Microsoft SQL Server database.
• Implement Linux-based server technologies for Linux platform (e.g. cron, apache, haproxy, etc) on
  various Linux variants (RHEL, CentOS, etc.)
• Scripting and automation of operational tasks and processes
• Support both internal and customers’ production and non-production services, to ensure they are
  running optimally and proactively maintained
• Responsible for reviewing usage of service resources and security policies
• Install and configure Application Performance Monitoring (APM) agents as well as the necessary
  reporting dashboards and alerts based on customer requirements
• Work alongside development and operational teams to provide recommendations on improving
  application performance and root cause analysis.
• Respond to RFP/RFI and customer technical questions
• Work primarily within the Klang Valley area, however candidate must be willing to travel abroad
  should such need be required
• May be required to work during non-business hours on occasions, as part of an on-call 24×7 support
  team

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Information Technology.

• Knowledge in either Microsoft Windows or Linux environments.

• Experience in administering multiple production server environments for various web server types
  and databases
• Experience/knowledge in Cloud Computing services such as Amazon AWS, Azure, GCP (Google
  Cloud Platform), Alibaba Cloud, etc.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and mindset
• Good attitude and willing to learn
• Comfortable with meeting and presenting to customers

Good to have/ added advantage:

• Experience/knowledge in configuring and operating Application Performance Monitoring systems

• Professional certifications such as MCTS, MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, Cloud certifications (AWS,
