POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Liaises between the business and IT Communities.
  • Represent as IT internal consultant to internal business client to set appropriate expectations.
  • Facilitate business requirement between business and technology.

  • Analyze and evaluate users expectations or requirement towards business plan.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Propose for a prioritization scheme for the business objectives that quantifies the business requirements.
  • Respond to business requirements in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Analyzing expectations from IT initiatives such as project status, issue and resolution based on individual project management updates.
  • Consult MAHB’s Business Units in planning and deployment of ICT solutions or infrastructure.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in airport system operations, project management, stakeholder management, business analyst, requirement engineering, effective communication plan and system support and maintenance skills that required to translate the business case into the system requirement and vice-versa.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technology with business objectives.

Technical Proficiency:

Airport-specific systems (e.g., Amadeus, SITA, Siemens)

DevOps, CI/CD, and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).

Leadership: Strong communication, negotiation, and team mentorship skills.

Education

Internal

  • Degree/Diploma; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, related or equivalent field
    Experience in Airport Systems would be an added advantage.

Governance
• Be a part of domain architecture governance forums to actively be aware of and govern emerging data architecture decisions, in alignment with Functions and wider Enterprise architecture
• Accountable for governance of all architecture decisions and architecture directions across relevant domains as part of Architecture Review Forums and Technology Councils.
• Ensure compliance with all salient SCB data governance frameworks where there are direct touchpoints with them or any subsequent downstream influence for Group Functions.
• Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes PRA SS2/21, SS2/22 as well as local banking laws and other regulatory laws as applicable.

Purpose

The Dir - Enterprise Architect will define and drive the strategic technology vision, ensuring alignment between business objectives and the evolving technology landscape of Plexus.   • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful architectural strategies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing, data architecture, application architecture, infrastructure architecture and process architecture.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and IoT.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead the design, alignment, and governance of complex IT systems across business domains. In this role, you’ll act as a strategic partner to stakeholders, ensuring that architecture decisions support both technical excellence and business outcomes.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring deep technical fluency, cross-functional awareness, and strong leadership across project, client, and organizational boundaries.

Strategic Architecture Leadership

  • Design and own end-to-end enterprise solutions across multiple platforms, domains, and business areas.
  • Translate business goals into scalable, secure, and maintainable IT architectures.

Design & Documentation

Stakeholder Engagement

Mentorship & Leadership

  • 10+ years in IT architecture roles, with 3+ years in enterprise or principal architect capacity.

Hatch Asia has been appointed as the exclusive executive search partner for one of our global clients within the financial services space to help identify a Head, Enterprise Architecture for their technology function in Kuala Lumpur. This is a global role and will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's technology strategy moving forward.

The Challenges

  • Co-develop company enterprise digital blueprint and architecture which encompasses vision, strategies, and plans for growth through evaluation and analysis of target solutions, creation of solution models that integrates between businesses and customers, leading the strategy fortechnology platforms, partnerships and external relationships, identification of new opportunities for growthand maintenance of digital technology strategic plan so as to ensure alignment between the organization and it's overall business objectives.
  • Develop together with functions within the organization both short- and long-term digital and technological solutionsthrough assessment of current and anticipating business needs. conduct wideenterprise research, benchmark and provide responses against business pain-points which are related to technology assets ranging from servers to application development, collaborate with business and technology solution providers, to help determine relevant solutions for the organization, which will enable the firm to achieve it's business goals.
  • Conduct an effective assessment of the digital portfolio of the current and emerging digital landscape, identify potential disruptive changes and technologies that could potentially impact the organizations performance and business operations. Steer the implementation of risk assurance on digital portfolios including future investment, identification and recommendation of relevant technologies for adoption an the evaluation of successful adoption of potential solutions which are business-critical.
  • Lead efforts in setting up, managing and scaling up the ideation methodology across the organization by establishing design thinking workshops, and running innovation labs which will assist the organization in building out innovative solutions for the business.
  • Integration architecture design and maintenance will be a crucial component to this role, where focus will lie in minimizing operational downtime and ensuring performance of integration and transaction processing speed are always at optimal performance.

What It Takes

  • 13-15 years working experience preferable in technology relative to
    industry; 7-10 years of working experience in an enterprise architecture
    or solution design position within a fast-paced and fast-evolving
    environment, preferably working as an IT Transformation/Digital/IT
    Strategy/Enterprise Architecture senior level role.
  • Experience in Banking/Financial Services and Consulting, would be a major advantage.

  • The Software Developer Analyst support the Project Delivery Team to design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Work with team members to gather and interpret user system requirements into design specifications
  • Design and code applications to functional and technical programming standards Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components
  • Create operational documentation for the application
  • Provide primary support for installation of application releases into production

Job Overview
