This role provides advanced technical support within a secure, air-gapped sovereign cloud environment, bridging the gap between operation or engineering teams. Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Incident Troubleshooting & Resolution
- Serve as the escalation point for complex incidents related to the infrastructure system
- Apply deep IT knowledge to perform thorough root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with team for the problem resolution
- Leverage diagnostic tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) to resolve infrastructure, application, issues efficiently and in compliance with SOPs and security policies.
Operational Support, Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor and analyze system health across platforms using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as patching, configuration updates, and backup verifications aligned with disaster recovery (DR) protocols.
- Execute deployment activities securely within maintenance windows, applying change management best practices.
- Maintain and expand documentation for advanced troubleshooting across systems including KMS, IAM, networking, containers, and DR processes.
- Continuously refine SOPs based on incident post-mortems, security reviews, and evolving infrastructure standards
- Mentor L1 and L2 engineers.
Compliance, Security & Governance
- Operate within stringent security protocols in air-gapped, ensuring zero compromise in data handling.
- Support identity and access management practices by enforcing policy compliance and responding to access-related incidents.
- Proactively identify anomalies and raise potential security concerns using defined channels, in alignment with threat management procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations, with at least 2 years in a Level 2 support role.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies and cloud-based or on-premise virtual machines.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems administration.
- Proficient in using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or any renowned alerting platforms
- Experience with logging and incident response systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshworks).
- Practical knowledge of backup and disaster recovery (DR) processes and technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, virtual machines, and cloud environments.

The System Administrator for iSeries is responsible for the system administration and technical support of the iSeries (IBM i) infrastructure, including the implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and administration of IT applications and systems supporting the Provident Fund System (PFS) Back End and its components. This role requires close collaboration with system users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, effective system performance, and reliable operations within the iSeries environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
System Implementation and Enhancements
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EPF’s iSeries-based PFS Back End Systems and technical domains.
- Analyze existing iSeries application and infrastructure requirements to plan for functional and technical enhancements.
- Lead, manage, and participate in the end-to-end execution of iSeries-related projects and change requests.
- Develop and maintain system documentation specific to iSeries, including Technical Operation Manuals, Guidelines, ‘Arahan Kerja’, and performance reports.
System Maintenance and Administration
- Administer, monitor, and optimize the iSeries (IBM i) platform, including system configuration, work management, job scheduling, storage management, replication & journaling, and security controls within the EPF network.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IBM i operating system, including job control, CL scripting, SQL, BRMS, system security, and storage management, as well as experience supporting SAP infrastructure and integration.
- Good understanding of integration with Windows, Linux, virtualization platforms, or open-source tools is beneficial.
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components such as firewalls, security appliances, backups, storage systems, and cloud-based storage.

- Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- Bachelor’s degree (Honors) or master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
- Certifications in IBM i (iSeries/AS400) administration, operations, or CL programming are an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in iSeries system administration, hardware knowledge, infrastructure architecture, and infrastructure operation and maintenance.
- Able to commute to the office in Kwasa Damansara.
- Able to work outside office hours when required, during on-call standby roster.

Position Overview:
The System Administrator (Cloud) is crucial in managing and optimizing organisation’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and security of cloud-based systems. The System Administrator (Cloud) supports digital transformation efforts by maintaining a seamless, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environment aligned with cloud-first technology and business-enabling ICT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud resources primarily on Microsoft 365 suite of applications, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Azure, Defender and Endpoint Management, to ensure all services are running according to SLA.
- Implement and optimise virtual machines, storage, and networking components, and continuously monitor system performance and optimise cloud resources, to ensure optimal and cost-efficient cloud operations.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud environment, and manage user access controls and permissions, to ensure data security.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, to maintain system integrity and functionality.
- Lead a team to handle IT requests, incidents, problems, and changes by providing technical expertise to support IT infrastructure and endpoint devices in accordance with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, to ensure all cases are acted upon according to SLA.
- Set up and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical data and applications in the cloud, and test and execute recovery plans, to ensure business continuity.
- Create and maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures, and generate reports on resource utilisation, costs, and performance metrics, to provide clear operational guidelines and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network team, cybersecurity team, developers, and external parties, to ensure smooth operations, provide technical support, and resolve infrastructure incidents and issues whilst managing stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in maintaining & supporting IT infrastructure services. Experience in managing infrastructure and/or cloud services is essential.
- Experience in the oil & gas or energy sector is preferable.
- Strong domain knowledge in cloud technologies, with a solid foundation on Microsoft Azure fundamentals being an added advantage.
- Microsoft Certified Professional or relevant certification is preferable.

- Manage Software & Licenses: Oversee digital planning software, data stores, and server environments. Manage and assign/remove licenses for various products.
- Software Support: Configure, troubleshoot, and stay updated with software upgrades and patches.
- Customization: Define and convey customization needs for projects.
- IT Maintenance: Maintain IT systems according to security policies and best practices.
- Security: Review audit trails, report security incidents, and protect information from unauthorized access.
- Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Audits: Assist in software and hardware audits.
