Job Purpose
Assist in driving alignment and deliverables for Corporate Responsibility (CR) within CIMB, which includes:
(1) Lead the impact measurement strategy across CR and CIMB Foundation programmes
(2) CR and CIMB Foundation portfolios of programmes and projects where relevant
(3) Employee volunteerism management
(4) Assisting the coordination for the Group on CR spending for reporting purposes where relevant.
Key Responsibilities
Mobilisation of Group resources to support Corporate Responsibility
- Responsible for monitoring performance management and KPI alignment for CR in CIMB Group where relevant
- Responsible for monitoring operating expenditure of CR and the adoption and disbursement of annual budgets where relevant
Strategy and Planning Management
- Assist in the execution of CR’s business strategies and plans which are aligned to the company’s Forward30 vision and goals.
- Assist in driving strategic focus areas and partnership opportunities which are aligned to the company’s strategic vision and goals (e.g. Forward30).
Programme Management
- Responsible for programme management, which consists of (1) design and lead the implementation of the impact measurement and evaluation frameworks, and (2) develop logic models, KPIs, and data tools to assess programme effectiveness and strategic alignment. Programme management includes projects and programmes for CR, employee volunteerism, and CIMB Foundation.
- Responsible for the design, learning and development function, which will identify, co-develop and evaluate programmes and projects with relevant partner organizations. This includes the development of aspirational goals, milestones and impact measures. Over time, learning will be re-incorporated to refine programme design in order to enhance impact toward achieving programme and project outcomes.
- Responsible for the implementation and reporting function, which will develop budgets, ensure timely approval, complete accurate and timely documentation to ensure strong programme and project governance, implement and execute programmes, and collect relevant reporting and impact measurements.
Business, Employee Volunteerism, and Risk Management
- Responsible for relevant quarterly and annual reporting inputs detailing the spending, scope and extent of CR initiatives and employee volunteerism across CIMB and CIMB Foundation activities. This may include, but is not limited to the purposes of financial reporting, sustainability reporting, internal management reporting and updates, regulatory reporting and updates, senior management and board reporting and updates, and press and public relations enquiries.
- Responsible and accountable for the management and disbursement of funds (both CIMB Foundation & CIMB Group’s entities) towards achieving identified project, programme and corporate responsibility goals for CIMB where relevant.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant financial, risk and regulatory requirements, which also include CIMB Group’s and CIMB Foundation’s policies and procedures where relevant.
- Drive employee engagement and volunteerism through all relevant CR activities and initiatives, working with the CR team, division and country CR Champions and colleagues where relevant.
- Drive awareness and highlight CIMB Groups’s Corporate Responsibility efforts with employees, management, regulators, partners and other community stakeholders where relevant
- Report on progress of CIMB Foundation to CEO and Board of Trustees.
- Any other responsibilities / task as assigned by management or Director of CR at CIMB, as well as by the CEO and BOT of CIMB Foundation from time to time.

- Collaborate with other functions/departments to support the development and implementation of policies and guidelines related to the sustainability initiatives
- Establish a strong network and coordinate discussions with sustainability practitioners, professionals, consultants, government agencies and regulatory bodies
- At least 3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or related functions
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD, IFRS, UN SDGs, ISO, MSCI, etc.) is an advantage
- A candidate with clean energy industry experience will be preferred
- Strong data analysis, reporting, project management and people management skills
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Passionate about environmental, social and governance impact with a continuous improvement mindset
