Key Responsibilities:

For Both Levels:

  • Monitor and manage daily material requirements based on production plans (MRP).
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Track inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability (avoid shortages or overstocking).
  • Prepare and maintain supply chain documentation: purchase orders, GRNs, invoices, stock reports.

  • Analyze supply chain performance and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs (OTIF, Inventory Turnover, Supplier OTIF, etc.).
  • Lead initiatives for supply chain process improvement and automation.
  • Handle escalations and lead resolution of supply chain disruptions.
  • Mentor junior staff (Assistants / Interns) and support training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Assistant Level:
  • Diploma / Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Mechanical, Production, or related fields.
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics (automotive preferred).
  • Executive Level:
  • Bachelor's Degree (mandatory); MBA in SCM / Logistics (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably in automotive or Tier-1/Tier-2 supplier environments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of supply chain operations in a manufacturing setup.
  • Understanding of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Infor / Tally, etc.).
  • Good Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Communication and coordination abilities across functions.
  • Working knowledge of lean inventory, JIT, Kanban, and 5S (preferred).
  • Familiarity with import/export processes (if applicable).

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Automotive parts/component manufacturing

Your Qualifications

  • Experience in the Electronics industry or equivalent, with a minimum of 5-7 years in the managerial leadership within the SCM functions
  • You have at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations leadership role. You can demonstrate a clear history of achieving measurable results, such as cost reduction, efficiency improvements, or enhanced service levels
  • You possess a strong command of core logistics and SC planning principles
  • You have proven experience working in modern logistics and supply chain management software e.g., ERP, MRP and other planning tools
  • Experience with specific Malaysian customs programs, such as the LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) license, is an advantage. You understand the local regulatory requirement and can ensure compliance
  • You are a leader with a demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and develop diverse teams. You excel at fostering a collaborative and high-accountability culture
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills that use data to identify trends and diagnose challenges in making sound decisions

Position Purpose

  • Ensure that all purchasing documentations are centrally filed and available at all times to support audit.
  • Participate in projects relating to system enhancements, implementations and/or new sites’ biddings and mobilizations.
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased in Sodexo system.
  • Managing indirect spend for Malaysia
Requirements
  • Professional Certificate/Diploma related to Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Sound understanding of purchasing principles and its applications, preferably in the area of strategic sourcing;
  • Possess integrity and strong communications skills;
  • Good time management, resourceful and able to perform under tight deadlines;
  • Strong negotiation skills and has good knowledge of supply market in Facility Management;
