  • Responsible for accurate handling of cash and online payments, daily sales reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with company transaction procedures
  • Monitor staffâs attendance, leave, attitude and performance.
  • Involve in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and managing staff.
  • Manage overall outlet and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
  • Identify customersâ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.
  • Purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Report to management regarding sales results and productivity.
  • Lead the team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel.

Job Requirements

  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Malaysian or Permanent Resident (PR).
  • Possess min SPM, Diploma, Degree in any field.
  • Have at least 2-3 years of working experience managing QSR, Counter Service or cafe.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership in managing daily outlet operations, including team supervision, staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to company SOPs and service standards.

The intern will focus on projects and initiatives, including the following:
**Marketing and Communications**
Support the needs of Field Marketing team and agencies to implement marketing tactics for hotels in Malaysia
Liaise with hotel Marcomms for information required for any activations
Assist in crafting press release
Support in newsletter communications
Attend media activations

Monitor hotels' social media curation to be on-brand

The Business Development Executive will support Hyde Engineering & Consulting’s business development and marketing efforts across Southeast Asia by identifying new business opportunities, engaging with clients, and assisting in sales and marketing initiatives, doing market research and cold calls. This role involves market research, lead generation, proposal support, and relationship management, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and engineering consulting sectors. This role provides an opportunity to develop business acumen, build client networks, and contribute to Hyde’s growth in Southeast Asia. This is an impactful role within our Operations group, responsible for achieving sustained sales growth targets, building and maintaining strong client relationships and establishing Hyde Engineering & Consulting as a leader in providing engineering services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. This position reports to the Managing Director, Asia.

Responsibilities


  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and business opportunities.
  • Support the lead generation by identifying key decision-makers and initiating client outreach.
  • Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations, and bid documentation.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to track business development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing strategies and execute promotional activities.
  • Engage with prospective clients through meetings, calls, and networking events to introduce Hyde’s capabilities.
  • Assist in managing client relationships by maintaining regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and trade shows to expand the company’s network.
  • Support the bid/no-bid process by analyzing RFPs and coordinating internal approvals.
  • Track and report on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and business development activities.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Up to 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management (preferably in design engineering services related industry)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical, biotech, or engineering consulting industries is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing the sales life cycle via CRM
  • Aptitude for client management
  • Proven Sales experience
  • Experience in customer relationship management, and business development
  • Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong workflow and process analysis skills
  • Proven network in SEA market
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel extensively within southeast Asia.
  • Self-motivated and passion to drive business
