Active participation in the implementation of data governance solution and optimization of data governance frameworks across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (on premise & cloud).
Implement and maintain data governance solutions and tools such as data catalogs, data quality monitoring tools, and lineage tracking solutions. Provide recommendations for tools and techniques to improve the governance process.
Assist in managing data governance projects from concept to implementation.
Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business units and the data steward community, to facilitate multi‑level stakeholder discussions, gather requirements, build consensus, and drive adoption.
Collaborate with data management team, data architectural team and other technical teams to ensure the effective running of data governance operations, processes and supports data management practices such as data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data cataloging, reference data, etc.
Assist in the development, enforcement, and continuous improvement of data governance policies, data standards, and best practices across the organization.
Provide guidance and awareness training to data steward community and stakeholders on data governance principles and tools. Act as a subject matter expert in data governance best practices.
Role Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) are a plus.
Strong knowledge of data governance and data management, including frameworks and policies, data quality, metadata, data lineage, master data management, data catalogs, and reference data.
Possess clear understanding of data life cycle, data value chain and holistic understanding of managing data as strategic assets.
Able to engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into business solutions.
Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience as a data governance or data management practitioner, preferably within complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with proficiency in data governance solutions such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools.
Familiarity with data ecosystem concept, both on premise and cloud platforms and data governance operation in these environments. Understand data management principles in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment.
Proficient in data governance tools and solutions, including data quality monitoring, metadata management, data lineage tracking, and reference data management.
Experience in data protection, privacy, and compliance standards.
Understanding of data architecture principles and data integration techniques in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and business stakeholders at all levels.
Problem‑solving oriented with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing tactical and long‑term priorities.
Act as a change agent to drive the adoption of data governance practices and foster a culture of data accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Assume business product ownership of existing legacy customer data platforms. Establish a standard operating model across platforms for governance, change management, user access control, and issue resolution. Conduct a full BAU health check, identify risks and pain points, and execute an action plan to address immediate challenges. Ensure platform stability, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. 2. Strategic Roadmap & Migration Define and maintain the multi-year migration roadmap to the Enterprise Data Platform. Develop business cases and funding requests to secure executive sponsorship. Align platform strategy with business priorities, regulatory needs, and technology architecture. Oversee platform decommissioning and data migration, ensuring integrity and minimal disruption. Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and status reporting. Manage project timelines, scope, and budget, ensuring successful and timely delivery of use cases that meet business needs. 3. Product Management Represent business priorities in all technology delivery discussions. Translate business requirements into platform features and enhancement backlogs. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that the delivered data products meet the defined business requirements. Conduct training, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management initiatives to maximize adoption of data solutions. Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party engagements where applicable. Champion data quality, working with stakeholders and technology to establish and enforce standards that ensure data integrity and reliability for business users. Drive data governance initiatives, including data ownership, definition of business glossaries, and compliance with data privacy policies. Ensure the new platform is operationally ready and transitioned smoothly to BAU ownership. Oversee the process for data democratization and user access management (UAM), balancing data access with security requirements to empower business users. 4. Audit & Compliance Support Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to the data platforms. Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation for governance, user access, and operational controls. Address audit findings promptly with clear action plans. 5. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business units, technology teams, data governance, compliance, and vendors. Act as the single point of accountability for business outcomes of the data platforms. Drive organisational readiness, adoption, and change management. 6. Technical & Domain Oversight Apply strong understanding of banking and analytics transformation to guide solution design. Collaborate cross-functionally within an Agile Squad structure, working closely with teams from Agency Distribution, Marketing, and IT to execute go-to-market strategies.
Partner with Marketing to understand what resonates with agents & customers and refine content & messaging to enhance impact and engagement.
Work with Digital Analytics to identify trends, uncover insights, and explore opportunities to increase agent adoption, lead generation, and conversion rates.
Drive consistent communication and engagement efforts, including updates, reminders, and activities, to ensure sustained adoption and usage of AIA’s digital tools, aligned with performance targets.
Identify strategic and executional gaps, recommend and implement corrective actions to optimize outcomes.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support operational and business needs.
What You Will Need
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in change management, campaign management, or driving results through sales campaigns, contests, marketing initiatives, and training.
Candidates with prior experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver effective presentation materials.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret data sets.
Excellent communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

Job Description
This position is vital part in supporting the Head of Strategic Planning, Performance & Communication by contributing to the development and execution of IT strategies, performance management frameworks, and communication plans. It offers broad exposure across strategic planning, research, performance management, communication, and change management. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning Assist in conducting research and analysis to identify emerging technologies and industry trends. Support the development and maintenance of the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with DTD programs initiatives and business objectives. Participate in strategic discussions with DTD Management and stakeholders. Translate complex technical information into clear and concise messages for various audiences. Assist in collaborating with the Corporate Strategy team and Project Managers and Centre of Excellence (COE) team. Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies, market trends, and their impact on the DTD's IT roadmap. Assist in the development of presentations and reports to support strategic planning discussions. Stay updated on industry best practices in IT strategy and communication. Performance Management Assist in developing and implementing performance measures for IT initiatives. Collect and analyze data to track progress towards IT performance goals. Prepare reports and presentations on IT performance metrics. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights. Assist in developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT initiatives. Collect and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate reports and visualizations to communicate performance data effectively to stakeholders. Support the development of strategies to optimize IT operations based on performance analysis. Communication & Change Management Maintain communication materials to articulate the IT strategy, progress, and value to a broad audience across the organization and internal IT. Assist in developing communication strategies and materials for IT initiatives Support the development and implementation of change management plans to ensure user adoption of new technologies. Collaborate on the development of communication materials like presentations, reports, and infographics for various audiences. Craft compelling and clear content that simplifies complex IT concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Strategic Analysis & Insight Market and Trend Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on IT industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity), and other relevant industries IT strategies to identify opportunities and risks. Internal Performance Analysis: Analyze internal IT metrics (e.g., service performance, cost, resource utilization) to identify areas for efficiency, optimization, and strategic focus. Assist in conducting impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed IT initiatives communication and change management. Project Support Assist with project management tasks for strategic planning and communication initiatives. Maintain project documentation and records to ensure transparency and accountability. Secretariat Duties Provide administrative support to key management meetings such as Digital Strategy Committee, IT Business Case Challenge Sessions, and Project Management Award events. QUALIFICATIONS Must be a Malaysian citizen. Passed the Malay Language subject including the oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Possess a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification from a local or international institution of higher learning recognized by the Government, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a technical or analytical role (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Have passion with technology, dynamic and a desire to learn new things. JOB STATUS
