Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance

Information Security
The Data Protection Officer may be required to support the Head of Information Security & Data Governance in matters related to Information Security, as deemed necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
At least 5 years of relevant experience in data protection, information security, compliance, legal, audit, or risk management.
Minimum 2 years in a role with data privacy accountability (DPO, privacy officer, risk manager, etc.).
Experience in regulated sectors such as financial services or securities industry is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Malaysia PDPA 2010, its 2024 amendments and JPDP guidelines.

Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries (voice or digital communications) for assigned Cohesity products within a Technical Support Engineer environment.
Provide technical support to customers, partners, and field support staff with varying levels of support entitlements, focusing on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging Cohesity software and hardware, including cloud platforms.
Continuously develop technical skills by learning the Cohesity platform, which integrates availability, protection, and insights.
Work with customers, partners, and field representatives to answer technical questions and provide solutions for Cohesity products and cloud infrastructures.
Resolve cases to meet productivity, performance, and SLA standards and support goals.
Research, document, and collaborate on cases as required.
Create or update technical documents for the Knowledge Management system.
Handle multiple issues simultaneously, ensuring each is tracked and resolved.
Maintain close interactions with team members and stakeholders, engaging them when necessary for timely resolution.
Participate in Technical Support Engineer Process Community meetings and Innovation Teams to drive customer success improvements.
Attend product previews for new releases and support enablement functions, including UAT testing for initiatives.
Collaborate with internal and external technical support teams across varying expertise levels.
Mentor junior Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) on product knowledge and processes.
Conduct or participate in hiring interviews.
Diagnose complex or sensitive case issues and consult senior team members as needed.
Lead internal projects with enablement and engineering teams to improve processes and products; develop training and TOI material for TSEs.

Diagnostics: Log analysis, process tracing, debugging, kernel panic, root‑cause analysis.
Observability: Application performance management, reliability, availability, and serviceability.
Infrastructure: Data center operations/management.
Cohesity product offerings such as Net Backup and Data Protection.
Enterprise information systems, application servers, and hardware infrastructure.
Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V, RHV, Nutanix, containers (Docker, Podman).
Databases: Oracle DB, IBM DB2, Microsoft Exchange/365.
Cloud: Object storage (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑prem disaster‑recovery solutions.
Basic familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and APIs.
Clustering and high‑availability systems.
Scripting languages (Python, Perl, PHP) beneficial.
Certifications
Red Hat: RHCSA, RHCE.
Cisco: CCNA, CCNP.
Cloud certifications: Amazon, Microsoft, Google.
Experience / Education / Qualifications
Product knowledge and experience in Net Backup and Data Protection.
Mandarin language proficiency required.
Diploma, degree, or postgraduate in engineering or science.
4+ years in system administration or related enterprise technical support, with 2nd/3rd level experience.
4+ years in a live production environment or datacenter with heterogeneous IT infrastructure.
3+ years of public or private cloud platform experience preferred.
