Role Description

Association of Resource & Education for Autistic Children (Lions REACh) is a community service-based organization which provides free educational programmes and services for persons with autism and their families. We are a group of dedicated people who work together with parents to help children with autism improve their development (self help skills, mental development, social skills, speech & communication skills, motor skills) and achieve independence in their daily living.

Lions REACh offers a total of 23 programs and 9 services for the persons with autism. We work towards a "family-like" structure at our centre where parents and teachers are involved in the programmes together with the children. Job Scope:

• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each child.
• Prepare resources for lessons.
• Implement IEPs and lesson plan and teach accordingly.
• Assess child' progress and prepare progress report.
• Plan, evaluate and conduct group programmes assigned.
• Perform related work as required.

• Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's EIP and AIP.
• Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
• Employs various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their EIP and AIP goals.
• Develops and implements annual Early Intervention Program (EIP) and Advance Intervention Program (AIP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students.
• Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, therapist, and teachers.
• Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students and parents.
• Ability to maintain discipline and to get along well and develop rapport with handicapped children.
• Schedules team meetings and works cooperatively with child study team members and others in developing instructional goals and strategies.
• Coordinates the delivery of special education services in each student's EIP and AIP.
• Provide crisis intervention, as needed, for students and those in inclusive classrooms.
• Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities.
• Serves as primary contact for the parent.
• Conducts special education evaluations and reevaluations.
• Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of educational assistants as directed.
• Complies with Centre policies and all state/federal rules and regulations.

• To report any incident, happen during class to Branch Manager and Parents
• To ensure treatment rooms, equipments are cleaned after every session
• To plan educational program, assist by Occupational Therapist
• To update summary report every 3 and 6 months (will be assist and review by OT)
• Reporting and documentation
• Feedback to parents
• To update late charges memo to parents via personal message in apps
• To do front desk and housekeeping daily
• To report any maintenance damage to Branch Manager
• To remove rubbish and pantry housekeeping daily
• To follow cleaning schedule for massive cleaning once a week
• To ensure all the equipment's, electrical appliances switch off or lock before leaving the Centre
• Other duties might be assigned
