About the Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Engineer to manage and support all activities related to sourcing and qualifying commodity parts, such as passive components, connectors, ICs, sheet metal parts, and others. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a reliable supply chain, cost optimization, and strong supplier performance for key engineering components across projects.
He or she will contribute to the smooth and cost-effective flow of goods and services by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the efficient delivery of materials and products. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, fast turnaround time (TAT), and high-quality delivery, while continuously optimizing sourcing strategies.

What you will be responsible for:

Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing and resourcing activities for assigned commodities (passive components, connectors, ICs, sheet metal, etc.)
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure capability, quality, cost competitiveness, and delivery reliability
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and procurement teams to support new product development (NPI) and ensure timely availability of parts
  • Evaluate and drive supplier performance improvement on quality, cost, and delivery metrics
  • Conduct cost analysis and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and terms
  • Manage technical discussions with suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards
  • Support risk assessment, mitigation, and supply continuity planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation for supplier qualification, audits, and component lifecycle management
  • Responsible to understand and assess Part Change Notices (PCNs) from suppliers and evaluate whether product requalification or additional validation is required. Perform supplier audits and performance evaluations, resolving quality, delivery, or compliance issues proactively.

How you will stand out:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or supply chain management, preferably in technology or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer electronics, mechanical and electrical component procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build long-term, positive supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and delivery management and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with sustainability or ethical sourcing initiatives in the supply chain.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, part drawings, and quality systems
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
  • Able to travel when necessary to support supplier visits or audits
