About Us : Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an integral part of our development process, delivering actionable insights to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay. You will work closely with the EA SPORTS FC team, building on a 30-year foundation to redefine football through innovative interactive experiences.

About the Role : The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will improve existing test methodologies, oversee the quality plan for FC football game titles, and collaborate with producers and designers to establish quality standards and provide feedback on new features.

Your Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy and Test Planning
2. Leverage testing skills to systematically test products and share results.
3. Design and lead quality strategies for features.
4. Implement build verification and reporting processes.
5. Research solutions to increase test coverage efficiency.
6. Identify risks and plan testing for releases.
7. Document reproduction steps, gather test data, and assist debugging.

Quality and Data Analysis

1. Compile data into summaries to communicate status and risk.
2. Analyze feature sets for automation opportunities using various testing methodologies.
3. Monitor game builds and ensure quality goals are met.
4. Perform design testing reviews to identify bugs and user concerns.
5. Use development tools to promote defect prevention.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Communicate status and risk effectively.
2. Serve as a bridge between development and QA teams.
3. Provide technical and qualitative feedback.
4. Represent QA in meetings, prioritizing quality standards.

Mentorship and Team Support

1. Lead team improvements and knowledge sharing.
2. Support professional growth within QA.
3. Mentor team members in quality strategies.

Minimum Requirements

• 4+ years in software development, QA, or game design.
• Experience with automated testing and tools like JIRA, TestRail.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes.
• Understanding of defect prevention and containment concepts.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with Grey/White box testing.
• Passion for creating high-quality player experiences.

Job Requirements:

• At least Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• ISTQB or similar software testing certification is a plus

We're looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer who has experience in both manual and automation testing, coupled with a good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Most importantly, someone who is excited about identifying bugs and errors. Does that sound like you? Then you may be the missing piece our team is looking for.

The Job:

• Test Automation & Scripting
• Design and develop automated test scripts for web/mobile applications, ensuring integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and scripts in collaboration with QA Engineers
• Testing Strategy & Execution
• Develop test plans, test cases, and execution scripts based on product requirements and features
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments
• Process Improvement & QA Standards
• Define, review, and enhance testing practices, tools, and workflows to support scalable quality assurance
• Implement safeguards against regression and improve early defect detection
• Production Monitoring & KPI Alignment
• Monitor post-deployment changes to ensure they meet expected business KPIs
• Collaborate with Product and Dev teams to validate production impact
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
• Guide and support junior QA team members through training, test reviews, and best practice sharing
• Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement
• Issue Reporting & Risk Communication
• Communicate bugs, issues, and risks clearly to the QA Lead or relevant stakeholders
• Track resolution status and support mitigation efforts
  
  

Requirements

The Person:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering, or a relevant major
• At least 4 years of working experience in a quality assurance position
• Proven hands-on experience in test automation frameworks and tools
• Experience in SQL, including the ability to design and manipulate test data and validate stored testing procedures
• Possesses a good understanding of the testing life cycle and Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and a commitment to the team's schedules and goals
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Job Descriptions:

Planning and preparing test cases and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.

Executing test cases and scripts to identify defects or bugs in the software.

Reporting defects or bugs found during testing to the development team and tracking them until resolution.

Collaborating with the development team to identify root causes of defects and assist in fixing them.

Conducting various testing types (functional, integration, performance, regression, user acceptance) to ensure quality standards.

Participating in code reviews and suggesting improvements.

Developing and maintaining test plans, reports, and documentation related to testing.

Providing feedback on software quality and testing progress to project managers and stakeholders.

Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience.

Preferably 3 years of experience in the IT infrastructure field.

Technical skills include understanding of testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, UAT), experience with tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, automation scripting, defect tracking, and familiarity with agile processes.

Experience with pre and post deployment testing.

Database testing experience is a plus.
