What a typical day looks like:

  • Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsible for the lines success.
  • Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
  • Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
  • Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
  • Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance to manufacturing standards.

• To take charge of production staff recruitment related activities.

• To manage production staff leaves and approvals (Time Management System – TMS/e-HR system)
• To drive change management activities to foster positive team culture and spirit:

Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma with some years of relevant experience, preferably in any Engineering discipline
• Knowledge in six sigma training would be preferred but not compulsory
• Minimum 4 yrs of Supervisor or Team Leader capability in high volume, high tech environment
• Related industry knowledge (Smartcard MFG) or semi-conductor industry knowledge would be a plus

  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.

Your Job

The role involves overseeing and coordinating daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, timeliness, and high-quality output. This position focuses on managing workflows, optimizing processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations that enhance productivity while reducing waste.

Our Team

The position requires collaboration with different departments, is made up of a diverse group of professionals, each playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee production line to ensure quality and output targets are met
  • Coordinate with planning and tool makers for timely order completion
  • Lead, train, and evaluate production team members
  • Monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain production records and report to management
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve problems
  • Drive continuous improvement to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
  • Align production schedules with demand
  • Conduct team meetings for targets, safety, and updates
  • Perform safety checks and enforce PPE and protocols
  • Take corrective action when targets aren’t met
  • Assign tasks, manage attendance, and provide training
  • Suggest workflow and efficiency improvements
  • Monitor molding KPIs and drive productivity
  • Support company initiatives (TS16949, ISO9001/14001, TQM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing
  • Equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Continuous improvement attitude
  • English and Malay

Job Responsibilities:
