Role: DC Plant Operator (DC Shift Lead) Overall RoleProvide general overall DC FM services, including continuous monitoring of the facility. Work with engineering managers to handle routine management operations, including planned/reactive maintenance work orders, incident management support, and escalation. Perform plant inspections and day-to-day plant operations. Must be a Certified Data Centre Professional.
Responsible for attending and completing service requests, coordinating and monitoring preventive and reactive maintenance work in HV/LV infrastructure, and supporting ad hoc minor project activities. Work with the engineering manager to ensure excellence in maintenance programs, industry best practices, and statutory and contractual compliance. Oversee all plant, mechanical, and electrical systems, and coordinate remedial actions during critical incidents. Supervise and direct multi-skilled engineering technicians and teams, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Reports to the DC Engineering Manager.
Operation Functions- Manage and coordinate service provider performance, track work order completion, and validate invoices.
- Ensure site management and operations comply with standards.
- Communicate and escalate issues appropriately.
- Maintain KPI thresholds for turnaround times.
- Create weekly incident review reports.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and service providers.
- Oversee work order completion and follow-up.
- Recommend quality improvements.
- Coordinate with finance for capital project PO management.
- Create maintenance schedules for vendors.
- Support task assignment and contractor coordination.
- Assist with procurement and safety documentation.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE standards.
- Conduct Job Hazards Analysis.
- Work with HSE team on planning and execution of procedures.
- Provide general facility management services.
- Interface with clients, visitors, and guests.
- Follow up with customers and coordinate work with vendors and staff.
- Assist with budgeting, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate data management and space planning.
- Train vendors and engineers on software platforms.
- Coordinate electrical distribution work.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including space planning using AutoCAD and PTW process monitoring.
- Diploma in Engineering or A4 Chargeman Certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Registered Electrical Worker or equivalent.
- 3-4 years' experience in engineering or construction services.
- 1-2 years' experience in electrical and mechanical operations in Tier III or similar data centers.
- Experience in critical environments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Join Hata as a Compliance Operations Lead and take ownership of our day-to-day compliance operations, ensuring we uphold the highest internal standards and meet Malaysia’s regulatory requirements.
We’re looking for a proactive leader with exceptional analytical skills and strong written communication abilities to oversee the onboarding, due diligence, and transaction monitoring processes for both retail and corporate investors. In this role, you will guide and mentor the compliance operations team, review and approve complex cases, and work closely with the Compliance Officer to refine processes, manage escalations, and address compliance risks. Your leadership will ensure that our customers and entities remain fully aligned with Hata’s compliance framework and regulatory obligations throughout their journey on our platform.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Semantan (close connectivity with all major public transport systems).
What You’ll Be Doing :
Conducting in-depth reviews on customer onboarding cases and ensuring that Hata’s KYC processes are applied consistently based on each customers’ respective risk assessment.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the compliance onboarding, monitoring, and investigations team, ensuring all processes are executed in line with Hata’s AML/CFT policies, internal procedures, and regulatory obligations.
- Leading and mentoring the compliance operations associates, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance technical skills, product knowledge, and investigative quality.
- Reviewing complex customer onboarding cases, high-risk KYC/EDD escalations, and significant transaction monitoring alerts, making final recommendations to the Compliance Officer.
- Ensuring quality control across KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring reviews by implementing regular QA checks and providing feedback to the team.
- Managing and prioritising workload to meet internal SLAs and regulatory timelines, including distributing and tracking case assignments to team members.
- Enhancing and refining operational processes by identifying inefficiencies, gaps, or risks, and collaborating with the Compliance Officer to implement improvements.
- Overseeing sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely escalation of potential matches.
- Supervising on-chain and off-chain investigations conducted by the team, using tools such as Chainalysis/Elliptic, and ensuring investigative findings are well-documented and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing and endorsing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and ensuring appropriate records and audit trails are maintained for all escalations and filings.
- Serving as the primary point of escalation for operational queries, complex cases, and stakeholder communications relating to compliance operations.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, customer support, risk, legal) to resolve compliance-related matters efficiently.
- Supporting compliance projects and audits , including preparing documentation, reporting metrics, and presenting operational performance to the Compliance Officer and Senior Management.
- Staying updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices to proactively update operational procedures and ensure team compliance with evolving standards.
Qualifications :
Individuals with two or more years’ prior working experience in compliance-related roles who are also passionate about the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies are encouraged to apply. Prior compliance-related experience in a cryptocurrency exchange is not required, but will be a strong plus point.
Ideal candidates will have:
Background :
Completed higher education (degree and onwards).
Two or more years’ experience in AML, CDD/EDD Review or in a KYC work flow.
Strong English proficiency and writing skills are required.
Strong attention to detail and research/investigative skills are required.
Skills and Experience :
Knowledge of Malaysia’s regulatory environment (e.g., SC’s Guidelines on Prevention of Money Laundering, Countering Financing of Terrorism, Countering Proliferation Financing and Targeted Financial Sanctions for Reporting Institutions in the Capital Market).
Knowledge of screening and transaction monitoring tools.
While experience is beneficial, we value a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

What would you do?
1. Platform Operations
- Lead the full operational lifecycle of the platform — onboarding, activation, live operations, and exception handling.
- Ensure operational alignment across multiple channels (e.g., mobile app, terminals, partner integrations) with focus on reliability, responsiveness, and compliance.
2. SOP Design & Enforcement
- Define, revise, and enforce operational programme SOPs, hardware/software standards, and service protocols for all ecosystem players including merchants, device providers, and partner banks.
- Promote adherence to best practices in service integrity, system uptime, and security compliance.
3. Stakeholder Coordination & Support
- Act as the central operations liaison with internal teams (e.g. tech, product, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g. merchants, vendors, banks, etc).
- Drive alignment through structured onboarding, issue resolution processes, and escalation governance.
4. Production Readiness & Oversight
- Lead readiness assessments and go-live coordination — including device configurations, merchant onboarding, and app compatibility validations.

5. Monitoring, Reporting & Issue Management

- Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to transform insights into actionable initiatives that enhance platform effectiveness and ecosystem impact.
- Translate findings into improvements in user experience, merchant configuration, financial partner performance, and operational workflows.
- Establish a structured stakeholder engagement cadence — including monthly operational syncs and quarterly performance reviews — to align on insights, validate findings, and co-create roadmap improvements.
- Act as the voice of operational intelligence within internal planning forums, ensuring the programme evolves based on real-world usage and partner feedback.

- Education: Bachelor's/Diploma degree in any relevant field
- Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in operations, programme delivery, or platform-scale services (e.g., fintech, e-wallets, banking, government tech, etc)
- Experience managing nationwide rollouts involving multiple parties such as merchants, financial institutions, and end users.
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in a team leadership or supervisory role, preferably with exposure involving national-scale platforms, public-private collaboration, government relation, and financial access initiatives.
