Lead - Linux System Administration n is a critical support role designed to assist the IT Admin Lead in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on maintaining stability, scalability, and security. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact in the IT Admin Lead’s absence, ensuring continuity in team operations. A strong background in Linux administration, automation, and Good understanding of Large Language Model (LLM) is essential for success in this role. br>
As the IT Lead for Administration, you will cover the following:
1. Team Leadership & Infrastructure Excellence - Co-create and manage IT infrastructure, optimizing performance, security, and reliability across on-premises and cloud-hosted systems.
Champion security best practices, conducting routine updates and prompt issue resolution.
Shape our technical roadmap, focusing on scalable IT infrastructure that propels organizational success.
2. Team & Workflow Harmony - Orchestrate daily IT operations, prioritizing tasks and reporting progress to the IT Admin Lead. Lead with confidence as the primary point of contact and decision-maker in the IT Admin Lead's absence. Inspire growth through technical and soft-skills training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
3. Automation & Efficiency Pioneering - Innovate with automation, developing scripts to streamline routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Provide expert hands-on support during peak periods, especially in LLM-related processes.
4. Cross-Department Synergy -Foster collaborative relationships with departments, identifying opportunities for workflow optimization and operational excellence. Unlock scalable LLM deployments, leveraging containerization tools and cloud resources.
Qualification:
1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Administration or related field
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as Linux Administrator
3. Minimum 2 years Leadership / People Management experience
4. Must be open to overlapping with Central European Time
5. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
6. Strong leadership and communication skills
7. Experience in remote working environment.
Essentials:
1. Proficiency in managing Linux-based systems ( Linux Administration )
2. Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python or similar languages for automation and process optimization)
3. DevOps
4. Virtualization
5. Ansible

What to Expect?
- Manage day-to-day systems administration including the installation, configuration and maintenance of software platforms.
- Ensure software platforms are upgraded with the latest software and security patches to optimize performance and availability, address vulnerabilities, and comply with security policies.
- Define and implement solutions to address issues in the area of systems, applications, databases, or a combination thereof.
- Ensure service continuity and user satisfaction by providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolving issues.
- Collaborate with network services, software engineering and testing teams to restore availability of services and/or identify root cause of issues.
- Participate in system/network projects and enhancements by providing technical advice/solutions.

- Manage deployment and release management activities.
What will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud/System Engineer.
- Solid experience with the installation, configuration and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux or Unix.
- Solid experience with virtualization, such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, VirtualBox.
- Knowledge in the field of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security protocols.
- Familiar with authentication methods, data encryption, and also be able to use software tools for monitoring and detecting threats.
- Familiar with data backup and disaster recovery methods and tools.
- Experience in cloud platform, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient in scripting language and automation tools.
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Server+ Certification, Oracle Linux System Administrator, VMware Certified Professional are highly desired.
