About The Job

The Server is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and professional service to guests. This includes taking orders, serving meals and drinks, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations.

As a Server, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Greet guests warmly and present menus.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and maintained before, during, and after service.
• Check on guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any issues promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
• Upsell menu items when appropriate to enhance guest experience.
• Process payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions.
• Follow all hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and other service team members for smooth operation.
• Assist in opening and closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning.

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Set tables according to type of event and service standards. Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and availability of our databases. You will work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support business-critical systems, implement database solutions, optimize performance, and automation engineering. You will be required to expand your knowledge and skill set to be a multi-platform DBA covering ( SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Netezza ). Expected to take charge and lead the database team in engagement with other internal teams as a database subject matter expert.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database instances

• Installation and configuration of new database instances.
• Perform hardening and operational acceptance tests for commissioning.
• Ensure databases are updated and patched as per established policy and process.
• Perform database version upgrade according to lifecycle requirements, working with the applications team on compatibility tests.

Incident Management

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents or errors affecting database services.
• Responsive, provide timely support for critical issues to minimize downtime and operational disruptions by attending to all alerts.
• Work with the database product principal to get support for issues requiring expert analysis to resolve the issue at hand, being analytical to solve the problem.
• Being available to respond to urgent issues or emergencies outside of regular working hours as per the on-call roster.

Change Management

• Service delivery of change ticket requiring the database team for task deployment.
• Able to work outside business hours and weekends for Change ticket deployment.
• Ensure and adhere to the change deployment process and procedure.

Documentation, Paperwork, and Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and database system processes, manuals, inventories, and configurations.
• Improve reporting via automation, so that database performance and capacity reports are beneficial to determine the database system's health.
• Prepare and work on tender and procurement process papers for assets and items under the database team's ownership.

Compliance and Security

• Ensure databases are in compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. BNM RMIT).
• Best practices adoption for databases (e.g. CIS, STIG).
• Enforcement of database security, encryption, and role-based access controls.

Service Request

• Deliver service request tickets for BAU or Projects requirements as per established SLA and OLA.
• Improve the process and procedure for services requested and tasks required to be performed by the DBA.

Continuous Improvement

• Innovate and improve current manual processes into automation via engineering efforts through POC, research, and development.
• Expand knowledge and skill set for future-proofing purposes, from traditional database administration to data platform engineering.
• Learning and development of knowledge in multiple databases of existing and latest database technology for future adoption

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills:

• SQL Server ( added advantage: Oracle )
• Always On Availability Group HA/DR for SQL Server ( Added advantage: Oracle RAC with Dataguard)
• Monitor and fine-tune performance of databases (indexes, I/O, design, etc.).
• Windows Server Failover Cluster
• PowerShell
• Any SQL Server database monitoring tool ( Added advantage: Dynatrace )
• Database access, security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Troubleshooting logic and situational response.
• Knowledge of other databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2 LUW, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) is an advantage.
• Soft skills involving stakeholder management, delivery of presentations, and verbal visibility in charge of database-related items during discussions and meetings.
• Strong and solid technical knowledge of SQL Server database
• SQL Server on cloud using IAAS, PAAS ( added advantage )
• Linux OS ( added advantage )
• Database maintenance task

Qualifications:

• Malaysian citizen
• Minimum CGPA of 3.00
• Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent fields, which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
• Able to commute to the office in Kwasa Damansara.
• Able to work outside office hours when required, during on-call standby roster.
