**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Prepare manual accounting entries and monitor system generated entries to ensure that financial statements are accurate and stated in accordance with GAAP.
+ Monitor and maintain subsidiary records and resolve discrepancies as required.
+ Prepare monthly account reconcilations for a series of balance sheet accounts.
+ Ensure all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner, making the adjustment or communicating recommended action to the appropriate individual for correction.
+ Thorough understanding of the balance sheet accounts in their scope of responsibility so that errors and anomalies can be recognized and explained or corrected immediately.
+ Interface with external auditors on area of responsibility.
+ Prepare monthly and quarterly information for internal and external reporting.
+ Create monthly reports to analyze variances between actual, forecast and plan.
+ Provide an explanation of variances to management.
+ Provide leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
+ Takes independent action to gather ideas and gain consensus with cross-functional teams on process improvement recommendations.

**About the role:**
As a CBRE Senior Financial Analyst - Record to Report (RTR), you are responsible for oversee and managing end to end RTR activities for assigned CBRE division in accordance with defined SLAs / KPI target and enabling the execution of high-quality services as Global Business Services Organisation (BSO)
**What You'll Do:**
+ Participate and execute month-end closing tasks which includes journal preparation, calculation and posting.
+ Point of escalation for end user month end closing issue and coordinate month end activities.
+ Ensure all activities (including metrics / SLA reporting) are executed timely, accurately and with the required quality
+ Perform monthly / quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations completed in timely manner and in accordance with the accounting policy
+ Timely production of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting for CBRE division.
+ Ensure stakeholders queries are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible and proactive manner
+ Provide support to the management team on month end processes, accruals, monthly reporting, and performance commentaries.

**Job Title:** R2R Associate APAC
**Location:** APAC Kuala Lumpur

**Job purpose:**
As a member of Shared Services, you will be part of a team responsible for performing day to day tasks within the Record to Report function. Finance and accounting management activities which involves collecting, processing, and presenting timely and accurate financial data.
**Key accountabilities and decision ownership:**
+ Timely and accurate posting of general ledger journal entries, period close activities, fixed asset accounting and intercompany.
+ Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
+ Planning and prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved.
+ Working with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues.
+ Operating within the internal controls framework.
+ Contribute to the management of R2R's relationship with key stakeholders
+ Assist in the training and development of other staff.
+ Adhere to process and account Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
+ Make recommendations for how to improve processes and procedures. Minimise the need to handle exceptions
+ Undertake SSC activities in relation to other Regions and or other Operational areas including I2C and P2P to support the SSC achievement of business deadlines
**Skills, know-how and experience:**
**Must have:**
+ Operational accounting and reporting experience
+ Good understanding of finance systems including ERP
+ Computer literacy, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, Word, Power point
+ Fluency in English and Chinese.
+ Strong sense of integrity always does the right thing and encourages others to behave in the same way.
+ Ability to perform in a time-pressured environment to meet deadlines.
**Preferred:**
+ Highly energetic and self-motivated; ability to work as an individual or as a Team Member.
+ Project experience preferable but not essential
+ Flexibility to work shifts.
**Technical / professional qualifications:**
+ Accounting degree or similarly recognised accounting qualification
+ Recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA,CIMA, AAT)
+ Strong MS Office, Excel and Oracle knowledge as well as experience in the Business and Accounting systems used in the function
