Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager in the Integrity team (Trust, Identity & Safety), you will take part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through advanced data analysis techniques. Your insights will guide strategies to safeguard our diverse user base from multiple types of fraud and risk.

This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will analyze massive passenger, driver, and merchant data to develop insights on user behaviors or risks
  • You will maintain and monitor key product and business metrics. Create/enhance dashboards to provide a granular, comprehensive view of these metrics and monitor trends
  • You will develop and communicate insights and recommended actions to stakeholders to reduce risk by contributing towards rules, machine learning models, and other detection systems
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies.
  • You will leverage the latest Gen AI technologies to aid automation and self serve of metric reporting and RCA

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data analysis role or a related field, preferably with Services Operation experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other relevant languages for data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and a passion for customer success.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

Job Purpose

To drive data-driven decision-making across the organization by transforming raw data from various sources into actionable business insights. This role serves as a critical link between the technical data infrastructure and key business stakeholders, including Mranti Divisions and Program Owners.

The position is responsible for the end-to-end process of data analysis, including data collection, quality assurance, modelling, and the development and management of the reporting environment. Ultimately, the role will empower the organisation to monitor performance, identify opportunities for optimisation, and make informed strategic decisions by providing clear, accurate, and insightful reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data collection and analysis: Collect, process, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement. - Communicate with a Data Engineer to get the data source.
  • Data quality assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Business analysis: Work with stakeholders ( Mranti Divisions/Program owner) to understand their business needs and requirements, and use data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Data modelling: Develop and maintain data models that support business needs and ensure data is structured in a way that is easy to analyse.
  • Performance monitoring and optimisation: Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities to optimise business processes and improve performance- Monitoring and optimisation based on Data Visualisation feedback.
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Helping develop reports and analysis.
  • Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or any related field.
  • 1- 2 years of working experience as a data analyst or in a related fi eld.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation- Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Google sheet, Python, and potentially other tools like Google Collab or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Possesses the ability to work with various stakeholders to assess potential data reporting and risks.
  • Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • Acquires high-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Expertise in data wrangling tools (Python/Pandas, SQL)
