Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is a high performing leader, problem solver, and innovator who challenges the status quo and drives innovation. In this role you will analyze complex business problems to be solved with re-engineered processes and automated technology solutions. You will provide consultation to end users and lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with Lam Global Operations teams to understand and support their operational needs to determine the best technology solution.
- Provide analysis and deep insights to business needs and challenge and enable the best fit and technology solution.
- Deep understanding of interaction, dependencies and alignment of different corporate initiatives, business unit, and IT strategies
- Architect and design business processes and systems solutions in support of business objectives.
- Deep expertise in end to end Procure to Pay processes, e.g., master data, RFQ, forecasting, source determination, MRP, Inventory strategies (safety stock, consignment, replenishment, rebalancing, etc.), Sub-contracting, Purchase order (PO) management, Inbound logistics, Costing, Supplier invoicing, Indirect Procurement, etc. and Supplier Collaboration, e.g., Forecast, Inventory, PO management, Costing, Capacity availability, Constraints, etc.
- Ability to connect multiple operations domains (Planning, Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Logistics, Spares Operations) and their interdependencies with Procurement.
- Collaborate with the business unit in leveraging various Supply Chain Execution & Supplier Collaboration systems (SAP ECC MM/PP, SAP S/4, SAP Workflows, SAP Portal, BI/Dashboards, Supplier B2B technologies - OneNetwork, Coupa, etc.) to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities.
- Able to put on multiple hats: Business Analyst, Data Analyst, System Analyst and communicate effectively to a diverse audience, including leadership, to articulate complex planning scenarios, trade-offs, and its impact to Lam Operations.
- Ability to understand business functionality and translate into business use cases.
- Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, and ability to deliver on responsibilities during various project phases including:
> Design (Blueprint and Spec)
> Develop (Technical Spec, Prototyping, Configuration, and Unit testing)
> Test (Integration testing and User acceptance testing)
> Training/Documentation
> Deploy (Cutover, Go Live)
> Run (Post mortem, Hypercare)
- Able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated cross functional team leadership experience.
- Experience working with consultants both in support and projects space.
- Must be able to demonstrate the skills and ability to build effective and productive relationships within and outside the immediate team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Technology, Operations or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years overall SAP experience with 3+ years of experience in ECC & S/4 (MM, PP).
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple enterprise systems include SAP and No code platforms.
- Have led more than one end-to-end implementation program, that included: Analysis, design, configuration, development build, test, and deployment, including training and data conversion.
- Strong problem solving and analytical/critical thinking skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently or with limited direction.
- Knowledge of advanced BI and dashboarding tools, e.g., Microsoft Power Platform.
- Comfortable working with large data sets in MS Excel and querying language like SQL is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Solid understanding of financial accounting and controlling principles.
Experience in business process analysis, functional design, and solution delivery.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate IT related projects for UOB Group and APAC branches that may be assigned from time to time.
- Understand business function and analyse user requirements, make a clear scope of project and build consensus with users (Create ‘Project Management Plan’).
- Lead in analysis and scoping of data sourcing and functional enhancements, functional/application design, functional specification discussion, and obtain users agreements.
- Obtain commitments from all identified stakeholders on creation of project plan and handle of project change management.
- Create project schedule, project activity list and control to keep the schedule and within budget.
- Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
- Arrange with users to conduct User Acceptance Test and arrange with vendor (where relevant) to prepare necessary test environment and support functional testing.
- Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
- Prepare necessary documents to facilitate and deliver the project (Release checklist, UAT results, etc.).
- Communicate project details and schedules to the Business as required.
- Lead and co-ordinate Go-Live activities, including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
- Ensure that the delivery of assigned projects meet or exceed user expectations.
- Review post implementation issues coming out from project implementation.
- Manages risks and resolve issues for production incidents assigned.
- Manages relationships and coordinate work between different team members, and with developer resources.
- Will need to understand impacts of branches and code merges arising from needs of conflicting projects, change requests, and production incident fixes.
- Closely supervise developer resources work, and ensure that quality coding practices and processes have been observed.
- Continually works towards making improvements in the FA team’s processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- min. 6 years of previous project management experience, with exposure to project management best practices/ methodologies/ project lifecycle.
- min. 6 years of supporting SAP ECC6 environment from a functional perspective, with solid understanding of core Finance modules such as Finance and Controlling (FICO) (including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA) and Internal Order Management (CO-IO); and Budget Control System (BCS).
- Working knowledge of Material Management (MM), Workflow Management functionalities, Flexible Real Estate (RE-FX) and Asset Accounting (AA) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language, Control-M schedule, and JIRA issue management tool is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP Basis and Oracle databases is preferred.
- Formal training in project management practices preferred.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel, and working knowledge of MS Access.
- Experience with IT support of Financial Accounting and Procurement business functions is preferred.
- Capability in requirement analysis and functional design skills in an SAP ECC6 environment.
- Capability of self-learning and a quick learner.

Are you a passionate full-stack/back-end developer with expertise in SAP ABAP and SAP ERP (S/4HANA)? If so, you could help our agile team deliver top-notch innovation and improve customer satisfaction using our value-adding global IT solutions. Experience with new SAP technologies such as CDS, RAP, CAP, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and SAP BTP will be highly valued as we continue to enhance our digital transformation journey.
What does the role involve?As part of a high-pace strategic program, you will be responsible for implementing Global IT solutions using emerging technologies. Your role will include ensuring reliable operations of core systems (SAP S/4HANA and cloud services) and driving their modernization. You will guide the development of new platforms in a continuous delivery model, leveraging Agile best practices. Responsibilities include implementing software architecture into detailed design, coding, unit & modular testing, and performance optimization on SAP ABAP, CDS, RAP, SAP Fiori, ABAP OO (SAP Gateway, SAP ERP, etc.). Maintaining software code by identifying and fixing root causes of defects, adjusting to environmental changes, and adding enhancements will also be part of your duties.
What you need is:- At least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with hands-on experience in S/4HANA environment.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules, especially SD and dependent modules.
- Good understanding of architecture principles and design patterns.
- Analytical skills to develop methodologies across various technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented mindset, and a strong drive for success and commitment.
- Very good ABAP skills: new syntax, integration methods, best practices, OOP, performance tuning, debugging, clean code, enhancement framework, dialog programming, OData Services (OData V4 is a plus).
- Experience with CDS, OData Services; OData V4 experience is a plus.
- Interest in new SAP technologies (RAP, BTP, CAP, SAP Fiori, SAP Public Cloud); experience is a plus.
