Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the projectThe Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Core Banking applications focused on Local and Bill Payments.
• Implement and support local low-value and real-time payment systems.
• Support cross-border payment modules.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams for requirement gathering and implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.

SKILLS

Must have

• 3+ years of experience with the Core Banking domain, preferably with exposure to REM (Remittance) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Local and Bill Payment systems.
• Sound knowledge of AS400/DB2 server environment.
• Understanding of real-time and low-value payment flows.
• Exposure to cross-border payment mechanisms.
• Experience in performing structured code reviews.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Remittance domain.• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.• Familiarity with ALDON (automated AS400 deployments).• Working knowledge of ARCAD (DevOps suite for IBM i / AS400).

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain RPG programs on AS400/iSeries systems

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development

Strong proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, and CL programming

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the UAT process with the key stakeholders, project managers and head of department.
• Contribute and maintain the application release documentation and adopt modern version control strategies.
• Contribute to the application’s user guide documentation and technical documentation.
• Investigate and resolve any application bugs as reported by all users.
• Manage the expectations of tight deadlines and critical milestones ensuring the application is delivered to satisfaction.
