To plan, develop, implement and maintain Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities/ programs, policies and procedures to ensure optimum awareness on EHS

Responsible for EHS related issues and ensuring that the company complies with related law & regulations, standards and guidelines from relevant authorities

Monitor and update the EHS Legal Register regularly to keep track of relevant laws and regulations.

To perform workplace inspection and support internal/ external audits by various parties such as customer, authorities, ISO and follow-up efforts or any relevant projects as required by management

Take proactive measures to reduce hazards at workplace and prevent possibility of future occurrence of incidences and accidents

To advise the employer or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the person employed in the place of work

Work closely with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, BOMBA etc.) to ensure compliance and update OSH related issues

Identify potential risk and recommend practical and cost-effective solutions in safety management.

To conduct an annual HIRACR review at all sites collaboratively with other teams.

Liaise with YCH Group EHS on matters related to EHS

Become Secretary of Environmental, Health and Safety Committee, assist the committee in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health programs at the place of work and assist in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the act and regulation

Investigate and report any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrences, occupational disease and EHS complaints.

Respond to incidents (accidents, near misses, etc.) promptly, investigate, and report findings.

To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and disease which have occurred at the place of work

Prepare Monthly EHS Report and Statistics report

Facilitate safety training, monitor and conduct courses as required

Assist in implementing ISO14001 standards in collaboration with the QA HOD.

Review and update EHS programs, policies, and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and improve safety standards.

Participating in audits by authorities, certification bodies, and customers, ensuring EHS compliance with requirements

Organize and conduct the yearly Fire Drill to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.

Participate as an Internal Auditor, understanding standards and customer requirements related to safety, health, and the environment.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Safety Green Book Holder.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in EHS related work
• Minimum Degree level.
• Have own transport and willing to travel.
• Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English & Malay.

Develop, review, and implement OHS policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).

Conduct regular safety audits, hazard/risk assessments, and inspections.

Plan, conduct, and manage OHS training programs for all employees.

Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.

Prepare and submit safety performance reports, incident logs, and statistical data to management.

Halt unsafe practices and enforce corrective measures promptly.

Conduct emergency response drills and maintain preparedness plans.

Collaborate with internal departments and external regulatory bodies (e.g., DOSH, JKKP).

Maintain and update safety documentation and compliance records.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.

Working knowledge of OHS regulations and safety management standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, EPA, ANSI).

Certification(s) in occupational health, safety, or related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, DOSH).

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; meticulous with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis, and safety management software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.

Bahasa Malaysia and English fluency preferred, depending on workplace context. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage.

• Assist in maintaining HACCP and ISO Certification for F&B Operations and Management through implementation of Food and Safety Management System (FSMS).
• Conduct microbiology test in the Food Safety Laboratory for food and environmental samples. Coordinate sending selected samples to external laboratory for chemical/biology laboratory test.

The Safety and Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant safety regulations under DOSH (Department of Safety and Health), CAAM (Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia), DOA (Department of Agriculture), and DOE (Department of Environment). 1. Regulatory Compliance:

2. Safety Program Development & Management:

3.Audits and Risk Assessments:

4.Incident Investigation & Reporting:

5.Continuous Improvement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management,Occupational Safety & Health or any related field. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Safety Officer to join our growing team at LPH CATERING'. What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular inspections and audits of our food production facilities to monitor compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards
• Identifying and addressing any potential hygiene or safety issues, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks
• Providing training and guidance to production staff on food handling, cleaning procedures, and best practices in food hygiene
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to demonstrate our compliance with all food safety requirements

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our food safety management systems and processes

What we're looking for
